Chapter 3: The New Problem

Chara turned her head around; she thought she heard a tree branch break. Oh well... It must have been her imagination. Pikachu saw a shadow in between the trees, it looked like it was watching them in a certain way. There was a type of blue fire on it's left side and 5 seconds later, it was gone. Serena, Clemont and Bonnie were still teaching Chara and Ash had his back turned. Pikachu found the opportunity to leave, so that's what he did. He jumped off of Ash's shoulder and ran to where he saw the shadow. After that, he was no where in sight.

3 hours later they stop to have a break. They ate some food Serena made for them, they get a conversation going and they feed their Pokemon. Chara was the only one who noticed Pikachu missing at this point. "Hey, where's that little yellow rat... thing? He's not there." Ash turned around and he's getting worried. Ash was thinking: 'What if Team Rocket took him while I wasn't looking.' He ran off to find him but all he found was his footprints. He followed them until he heard Pikachu shouting in pain. "Hold on Pikachu!" He ran really fast to where he heard Pikachu's shout, only to find him pinned to a tree in excruciating pain, no one is holding him there though, maybe magic? They both heard a voice "I've had enough playing around here..." Pikachu gets released from the tree and the voice came again "I'll find my brother if it's the last thing I do" after that, whoever the voice belonged to, left the area. Ash was really worried about Pikachu so he tried to find his way back to the others, but he was lost. He decided to follow the guy that left them since they couldn't find a way out.

Serena was getting worried about Ash. "Where is he? I'm kind of scared..." Chara had her eyes closed while relaxing "I'm sure he's fine, after all... it's not my problem he's taking so long" Clemont and Bonnie were also worried about Ash and Pikachu, but they decided to stay where they were just in case they came back.

Ash ran into a dead end, then all of a sudden the mysterious voice came from behind him. "Do you not know how to say hello to a new ally?" Ash was afraid of what was going to happen next. Was he going to die? He couldn't think like that right now. He had to get back to his friends, but how? He was lost. The voice spoke again "I'll help you get out of here if you prove to me that you aren't evil like... her" Ash finally brought the courage to speak "Okay, well... my friend here just got lost, sometimes he just wanders off without me knowing about it... and we're trying to find our way back to our friends but now we're both lost" Whoever the voice belonged to believed his story and spoke up "Alright then... heh, it's not everyday I run into a guy like you. I'm Sans." Ash had never heard of him before, but at least he could get out of the forest unharmed. "I'm Ash, and this is Pikachu" Sans looks at Pikachu and apologizes to him "I'm sorry for hurting your friend, kiddo" Ash smiled at him, after all, he is a very forgiving person. "Don't worry about it, Sans. I'm sure you didn't mean it" Sans looked both relieved and guilty for what he did. 

Sans led them out of the forest and in no time at all, they got back to the others. Chara was eyeing Sans in an evil way, Sans was doing the same thing to Chara; his left eye went blue as he looked at her. After everyone calmed down, Sans then explained his situation to Ash and his friends. He said that he was looking for his brother Papyrus because they got separated and that's why he wasn't thinking clear enough earlier. Chara thought it was boring to hear Sans speak for so long. Bonnie was feeling sleepy, so Clemont thought it would be a good idea to take a rest before setting off again. Sans closed his eyes and spoke "Yeah... I guess I am quite... bone tired." Chara groaned at the pun he made then she slowly fell asleep. They all made shelter and went to sleep, wondering what the next day had in store for them...
