A tail

Rae took off with her mom for lunch after I played it and made sure she knew I would be fine.

I sat in the student lounge just down the hall from my fifth hour classroom. I sat in one of the raised chairs and layed my head on the table. I made sure to calm down and relax. I pushed all of  the thoughts from my head and fell asleep.

I slammed the car door. I really don't want to see my cousin. Jason always picks on me. Especially since I happened to phase late. Just because I hadn't suddenly sprouted a tail at thirteen.

My mother warned me and we walked to the front doors and signed in. The school was open and there was a balcony all around it. For some reason the district decided that they should have a super small school.

We went down stairs and my mother went straight to see Jason. She told me I could wander off. I dodged out of the way to avoid seeing that annoying girl I hate her so much I haven't bothered to learn her name. The gym was open had had walls full of windows. Witch let in the light from a sunny day. I walked twords a small area full of tables and chairs. There were kids all over the place.

I walked closer and looked to my left. My heart sped up. There she was. My mate, but she was laying there. I started to worry.

Like two years ago I was told that this girl had a crush on me. I was surprised. At that time I hadn't phased and not really noticed her. After I found out I was happy. Even though her face was round and she may have been a little big I didn't care. But the alpha forbade me to talk to her because of my phasing problem.

Worried out of my mind I walked over to her and made sure she was still breathing. She was but there was a sad aura around her. She seemed hurt, and there isn't much I can do.

After a minute a girl walked up and asked "What are you doing?" Ahh this girl must be Kayla's friend.

I noticed Jason walking my way. Damn. He picked up his pace seeing who was at the table. He stopped in front of me.

"What are you doing?" He asks, not so calmly.

"Making sure she is okay. Since you won't." So because I am now mated to her he wants her. Well let the fight begin.
