Stranded

Chapter One

"Mum? When is dinner going to be ready?" I ask.
"In about five or ten minutes." she replies.
"Ok thanks mum!" I call back.
I'm so excited for dinner because we are having chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner tonight. Chicken nuggets and french fries are my favorite thing to have for dinner. We get to have my favorite dinner meal every Friday night. I chose Fridays because I think that it is a reasonable day to have chicken nuggets and french fries. My friend Belle is coming over to have a sleepover tomorrow afternoon and I'm really looking forward to having her over at my house. She is my best friend and she is really nice. We both like to play uni-hockey and we joined an after school uni-hockey club and our practice days are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are pretty good at playing uni-hockey and we have lots of fun playing it. At the moment we are training for our first ever uni-hockey tournament. It won't be very long because this is our first year playing in a club. Our tournament is next term and we're both extremely excited for it. The tournament will only last a week but we think it's a decent amount of time for our tournament.
"Dinner is ready everyone!" mum calls from the kitchen as she serves our dinner evenly onto three plates. One for my mum, one for my dad, and one for me.
Everyone quickly goes to the dinner table and sits down while mum gives us our plate of food. We each get seven chicken nuggets and a decent amount of french fries. We can put salt or pepper on our fries if we want to but I prefer nothing on my fries. Sometimes I like to dip my french fries in tomato sauce because it's yummy and it cools the fries down faster. I don't feel like putting tomato sauce on my fries tonight. After I finished my dinner, I had a quick shower, brushed my teeth then went to bed. I can't wait to have Belle come over for a sleepover tomorrow!
