::chapter 2- Kennidick::

Ever since the incident with Ken the doll, I can't really seem to take my mind off of him and his intriguing brown eyes.  I should've got his number- but I guess asking guys for their numbers was just not my cup of tea, and plus, Im on a relationship detox, like I said earlier.

But going back to the main problem, I dont have anything to freaking wear for the dinner being held at the Matthew threshold.

I am officially doomed.

But I guess my guy best friend still can help a tad bit.

So I called him. "Hello?" his voice ruffled through the phone. I groaned in exasperation. "Oh hey. What do you want?" I sighed.

"Dunno what to wear for the dinner Dani." I rubbed my forehead. The dinner is two hours away and I'm freaking out.I wasn't the type to grumble or care about my look, but there was something about the Matthews- which I haven't met yet- that urged me to try and gain a good impression.

Well that was probably because our last neighbor hated me because I constantly tripped on their gnomes in their backyard whenever I try to bring apology muffins for tripping over their gnomes. But I just can't seem to avoid tripping. Dying was in my nature, probably.

"Just put on a lovely dress and put on sandals so it wouldn't seem you over done it." He advised. "yeah mom! I'll be down, just.. chill bruh. Get some chill, you'll need it" I chuckled. Dork. "Hey I need to go cause mama mia here doesn't know what chill means but good luck babygirl!" and with that he hung up.

Fantastic. Now I'm totally doomed. What dress should I wear?

I'll just settle on the navy striped dress that looked like an oversized shirt and throw on some white vans and a white infinity scarf. Yeah, that's what I'm wearing.

I jumped in the shower a bit and threw on the outfit and curled my hair. I couldn't be damned to do my makeup and hair but I caught myself off guards when I was in the middle of doing my blush. What the hell?

A rushed knock boomed the walls of my room, startling me. Making me jump and drop my brush. Lovely. "Hurry up Emily. We've been waiting since the Jurassic period." My brother calls through the door.

"I'm coming!" I retorted and rushed to get my wallet and phone from the table and got out as fast as I can. Wouldn't want to be late, now would we?

"Finally!" he groans and they both stood up and we went to the other house.

"Now, remember your table manners kids" My mom reminded us. We both huffed as she rang the doorbell with such excitement.

"Dunno why you're wearing my shirt to this dinner. You pretty much look like a hobo." My brother chuckled. I stuck my tongue out for him.

"Yeah right, COD loser."

Soon, the door swung open, revealing a middle aged woman, around forty, but she looks oh-so-lovely- although she looks familiar. She welcomed us with a ravishing smile of hers. "Good day Susan." She smiled over to my mother, matching my mother's excitement.

"Good day, Anne. This is my eldest, Grayson." She introduced and Grayson hugged her, like scripted-kidding, we we're trained to talk and to do everything with right manners since day one. "And this is my daughter, Emily." Anne smiled over to me as she offered me a hug which I accepted gratefully.

"Welcome," she grins. "come in, come in." she urged and opened the door wider to supposedly let us in. Mother went first and followed me and Grayson. The house has a very nice furnishing to it and it was home-ly. "I have a son, although he's not here at the moment. He's out but we gave him a call and he will be most probably home by the time we start dinner." she claps. "Oh and here's Bob, I suppose you already know him" She leads us to the spacious living room where I noticed a man watching sports. Good, found a father stereotype, maybe their son was a stereotype too. Who the hell knows?

"Hey Bob!" Greeted my mom, as if she knew him about forever ago. Bob turned and looked at us with a smile.

"hey Susan! Pleasure to have you here." He smiled and got up, kissing mum on the cheek and he did it to me too, however he clapped Grayson on the back. "My wife here will be finishing the dish soon, but we must catch up. Here, here, let's go talk for a bit to kill the time." and with that, a tall, sleek, muscular figure gracefully came rushing in.

The room went from cold to boiling hot real quick. His presence affected me in a million ways.

My eyes met his in shock. Well, Ill be damned.

"you.." we said in unison as everyone looked at us in confusion.

well let's just say, Ken has come back for barbie.
