Harry and Ginny: Until the End

The 1st Day of Hogwarts

Harry's POV
Today's the first day of my 6th year at Hogwarts. I was ready to start learning spells again especially after last years lack of spell learning with Umbridge around. I woke up before anyone else in our dormitory and didn't know what to do. I started to think about Quidditch and Quidditch tryouts. I was the captain this year. Dad was so proud when I got the letter saying I was captain. I swear he smiled for a week straight, telling everyone he could about my accomplishment. I soon came out of my thoughts when I noticed Ron beginning to stir. It had to be getting close to breakfast time.

"Wanna head down to breakfast mate?" Ron said in a very tired way.

"Sure" I answered back while already getting dressed for the day

I wonder if Ginny will sit next to me. Wait. What am I thinking. Stop thinking like that Harry. I was brought out of my daze when a hand began waving frantically in front of my eyes.

"Hellllooooo... Anyone there?? Bloody hell Harry, what's wrong with you this morning?" Ron asked sounding very concerned.

"Sorry, let's go.." I said as I grabbed my bags and books and headed out.

In the Great Hall with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny

"What's your schedule?" Hermione asked with her head deep in a old book.

"Both Ron and I have a free period this morning." Answered Harry. Harry instinctively glanced at Ginny. Hermione saw. Harry turned as red as Ginny's hair. Luckily Ron was too busy shoving his face full of food.

Hermione just smirked and looked back into her book and said"But Harry, I thought you wanted to be an auror? And you have to take potions in order to do so."

"Well, I was to move on to Advanced Potions, I had to earn and Outstanding on my O.W.L's. Ron and I only earned an Exceed's Expectations." I explained, feeling disappointed.

During Ron and Harry's free period, Professor McGonagall told Harry and Ron that they could continue in potions due to the change in standards. The new potion's teacher says he will except people with Exceed's Expectation's

Professor Slughorn's classroom

"Can anyone identify these three potions for me?" Asked Professor Slughorn.

Hermione instantly raised her hand and said "That one's poly juice potion. It changes you into someone for a certain amount of time as long as you put a piece of that person in the potion. That one is Amortentia potion. The most powerful love potion ever. It smells different to every person. It is supposed to smell of what your heart is attracted too. For example I smell freshly cut grass, parchment paper, and spearmint toothp-" Hermione suddenly stopped, backed up, and got quiet.

Harry had no idea what Hermione was talking about. He didn't smell any of those things except the freshly cut grass. He smelt the grass, flowers, and broomstick.

"What about that potion Professor?" Said a girl from Slytherin pointing to the last potion.

"Why yes... This is-" said Slughorn but got quickly cut off by Hermione.

"Liquid Luck! It's called Felix Felicis. It can make anyone lucky." Said Hermione quickly

"Yes it is my dear. 20 points to Gryffindor. I must ask, what's your name miss?" Said Professor Slughorn with the most greatest interest.

"Hermione Granger" said Hermione acting as if she was shy.

"Well congrats Hermione. Now we're going to make a poison potion. Whoever has the best potion by the time this class period is over gets this bottle of Felix Felicis. The instructions are on page 8 in your Advanced Potion Making books. Okay, get working!" Slughorn said cheerfully.

When they sat down at their table and begun to stir, mix, and chop up ingredients for their potions, Harry noticed something. The book that he had gained when he lost the "battle" between him and Ron, was written all over.
It was property of the Half-Blood Prince, whoever that was. Harry thought to himself, maybe he should do what this "prince" is saying. He does, and everything is working great!

Hermione is struggling with her potion. She looks at Harry's and notices it is doing exactly what the book says. Confused, she asked him, "How did you do that?"

"You have to crushed the seeds, not chop them." Harry answered

"But the book specifically says chop." Hermione said with an edgy tone.

"No really, it doesn't" Harry said cheerfully

Hermione was to confused by then. She tried to glance at Harry's to see what he meant but he turned the book away. Harry ended up winning the liquid luck and kept taunting Hermione with it.

At lunch, Harry, Hermione, and Ginny all got letters from the same owl. But Ron didn't. It was an invite to join the "Slug-Club". It was some club for talented students that Slughorn would like to honor. The first meeting was on Saturday night. Harry, Ginny, and Hermione decided to go. Harry also brought up that Saturday morning they were having Quidditch tryouts.

After dinner, Harry had gotten an owl from Dumbledore to come to his office. It had to do with Voldemort.

I'm skipping over the whole explaining horcruxes because that'll take to long.

Harry went to bed once he got back to from Dumbledore's office. He was to baffled to talk right now. All he wanted was sleep. He would have to tell Ron and Hermione tomorrow morning. This is going to be one long week.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Sorry there wasn't a lot of Harry and Ginny! It's kind of hard when they're in two different years. I promise there will be more of the both of them.

I will be doing a lot of skipping around cause there is not a lot to talk about between now and after the Battle of Hogwarts (yes, that is still happening even though James, Lily, and Sirius lived). So anyway, I hope you won't mind the skipping around!!
