Ginny's POV
Ginny had started to get ready for the party. She really didn't want to go. But, she had to. She didn't even bother putting any makeup on since her eyes we all puffy and red from crying when she had her fight with Dean. She just couldn't believe that he thought all those things of her.Ginny put on a dress for the party (shown above) and headed down. The party was down in the dungeons of Hogwarts. It was also Slughorn's office.
When she got down to the dungeons, she stopped in front of the door and listened for a minute or two. She heard Slughorn say, "Now Miss. Granger what do your parents do in the muggle world?"
"Well my parents are dentists." Hermione said hesitantly.
"Is this job considered a dangerous job?" Asked Slughorn enthusiastically.
"No, not at all. Although, a boy named Bobby Fender did bite me father once. He had to get 10 stitches." Said Hermione almost as she was laughing but quite nervous to talk about her muggle heritage.
There was a moment of silence so I thought this was a perfect moment to slip inside.
Harry's POV
After Hermione finished her story about how Bobby Fender bite her father once, Ginny Weasley walked in.Man, she did look pretty. Harry begun to notice how much more he noticed her beauty. That fiery red hair, nice complexion, and she had nice skin. He also noticed her puffy eyes also almost instantly.
"Sorry I'm late Professor." Said Ginny.
"No problem my dear, sit down sit down." Slughorn mumbled. His mouth was full of food.
"They've been fighting again. Her and Dean. Look at her eyes." Whispered Hermione really quiet so only Harry could hear.
Before Harry could think about what he was doing he was standing up while staring at Ginny. As soon as he realized what he had done he instantly sat down and started eating his dessert.
"I can't believe I just did that. And in front of the whole Slug Club. Hermione's looking at me too." Harry thought to himself.
"What?" He said fiercely to the bushy haired girl.
"Nothing." She said quickly back.
"Well thank you everybody for coming! See you tomorrow in class. Get some rest." Slughorn said while basically pushing the Slug Club out the door.
This would be the perfect moment to try and get that moment Harry thought to himself. He decided to stay behind.
Ginny's POV
Did Harry really just stand up? Why? That was super weird. And awkward. Maybe the wasn't the right moment to walk in.Ginny basically tuned out the whole conversation. All she could think about was the reason Harry stood up. Her mind jumped to conclusions: Did he like her? But she was dating Dean. She she still like him? What it he just spilled something? Was she being dramatic? Maybe he realized he forgot something? Maybe he realized he was sitting on a tack? No that one was plain dumb. Oh! Maybe he needed to help Hagrid with some weird creature that he has now and he just forgot? That must've been it. Or maybe he didn't want to be in the same room as me because he hates me? Her thoughts were interrupted when Slughorn said, "Well thank you everybody for coming! See you tomorrow in class. Get some rest."
As she was walking out Hermione caught up with her. She wondered why Harry wasn't with her. Oh well.
"Hey Ginny, how come you were late? Harry and I waited for you in the common room but you never came so we left."
"Well, Dean and I got in a big fight. I reckon were over now." Ginny replied
"What was your guys fight about?"
"He basically called me a slut. Said I wasn't good enough for the Quidditch team. Then said I was cheating on him with Harry. Which I am not." Ginny added quickly when she saw Hermione's eyes bulge out of her head. "Hermione, do you think you know the reason that Harry stood up when I walked in?"
"Well I do know the reason why, but I reckon that Harry wouldn't want me to tell you." Hermione said with a smirk on her face. They had reached the portrait of the Fat Lady. "Pumpkin Pasties" was the password. The portrait door swung open and they headed for there separate dorm rooms.
"Hermione, you can tell me. It's not like it's gonna matter to me anyway."
"Fine but don't freak out. Ginny, Harry now fancies you. Like a lot."
"Funny funny Hermione. I know I used to be obsessed but I'm over it. Now what's the real reason."
"Ginerva Molly Weasley, I am not being 'funny'. I'm being real with you." Hermione said while placing her hands on her hips.
"Surreeeee" Ginny laughed while turning around really quickly to head to her room. She had ran straight into Harry. "Hi Harry! Sorry I didn't mean to run into you."
"It's fine Gin. Don't worry about it." Ginny noticed that he wouldn't look her in the eye. She bent down next to him.
"Harry look at me." She placed her finger under his chin and lifted his face. There they were in that moment inches from one another's gaze. She couldn't break her gaze from those bright green eyes. She never realized how bright they were. She could just lean in an inch and kiss him right here in the Gryffindor Common Room. Wait. What was she thinking? She couldn't kiss him! He was Ron's best friend. Let alone the fact that Hermione is standing right there. Wait! I forgot about Hermione.
"Ahem." Hermione coughed.
"Oh my gosh look at the time I better be getting up to my room. I have classes tomorrow. G'Night Ginny, Hermione." Harry basically yelled as he walked quickly upstairs out of ear shot of the two girls.
"Don't even say anything Hermione." Ginny said quietly while walking up to her dorm.
"I wasn't." She said back quietly.
Did her and Harry just have a moment? Was what Hermione said actually true? Gosh, she couldn't think of a time where she was more confused. Nothing matters about what just happened except for the fact that that moment helped her realize, she really did still love Harry Potter.
