LIFE WITHIN A LIFE...I AM LOST!!!

Chapter 7 :: The Diagnosis

Dr. Tanya suspected that the behaviour of Lisa could be due to Dissociative Identity Disorder commonly called as Multiple Personality Disorder.
But she was not fully convinced because during her interaction with Lisa, she did not find any mention about such bad incidents during her childhood by Lisa.
So Dr.Tanya decided to put Lisa through hypnosis session and asked Lisa to meet her next day .
Next day Lisa reached the city hospital and met Dr.Tanya. She asked Lisa to be comfortable and explained her about the hypnosis session. Lisa sat on a reclining couch, with soft melodious music in the background, Dr.Tanya started the session through suggestions to relax and counted 1...2....3... 4...... and Lisa went into a deep slumber to reach her subconscious state.
Dr.Tanya started generally by asking her name and about her family, Lisa answered all the questions quite normally. Dr.Tanya asked Lisa to rewind her life to her earliest birthday which she could recollect and tell her all the incidents that happened in her life since then.
The hypnosis sessions continued for the next few days and after some 4 to 5 sessions Dr.Tanya had a fairly complete track of Lisa's past life.
What wondered Dr.Tanya was that there were no such extreme incidents in Lisa's life which could cause this strange behaviour. She went through her notes repeatedly which she had jotted down during her sessions, but still could not pin point any such depressing incidents. But one thing Dr.Tanya noticed was that Lisa repeatedly took the names Sophia and Stella.

So Dr.Tanya decided to meet Sophia again and talk to her regarding Lisa's life .The next day Sophia met Dr.Tanya. she again reiterated that Lisa was a fun loving girl with a good family and friends and she could not recollect any severe depressing events in Lisa's life.
Dr.Tanya asked "who is Stella?" , the only other name that Lisa had taken several times during the sessions
Sophia replied that Stella was her twin sister and described how her twin sister went into a depression during her school days. She said Lisa being her best friend was aware of Stella's Incident.
She also mentioned about Lisa's interest to keep track on Stella's life, her suicide attempt incident and subsequently Lisa's behaviour with similar wound on the wrist without her knowledge during those painful days.
Dr.Tanya further asked if she knew something about Lisa that no one else knew. Sophia thought hard about it but could not remember any such things. After a few minutes she remembered about the diary Lisa used to write regularly.
Dr.Tanya was happy to have found a lead to solve the Lisa's case. Dr.Tanya decided to visit Lisa's house and search her room for the diary. She asked Sophia to invite Lisa to her place the next day and spend the whole day with her.
As planned while Lisa went to Sophia's house the next day,
Dr.Tanya reached Lisa's house, explained Lisa's parents about their daughter's problem and with their consent searched Lisa's room. With great difficulty she found the diary, not one but two diaries that too with different handwritings. she took both the diaries with her and started reading it.
