Jessica sat at her desk, editing her new photo she taken. It was a picture of raindrops on a window sill. "That's gorgeous." Jessica's friend, Mica, said. "Thanks Mica." She grinned. Jessica had just met Mica that year in college. "But, um, don't you have other homework you should be working on?" Mica asked, standing awkwardly over her shoulder. "No, why?" Jessica asked, finally turning around to face her. "There's this party tonight, I was wondering if you wanted to go." Mica spoke fast. She knew Jessica didn't go to very many parties. "No. One I wasn't invited and two it's a school night." Jessica refused, but Mica didn't stop. "Oh c'mon. You do nothing but sit in that seat and edit pictures!" By now Jessica had turned around and gone back to her picture. She didn't want to argue. "Maybe I just don't want to get wasted like you." She muttered under her breath. Mica gasped. She didn't say a word and left the room, leaving Jessica in silence.

The next morning, Mica hadn't come back. She wasn't in her bed and never came home after last nights fight. Jessica was a little worried but didn't think to much about it. She went on her phone for a little, refusing to get out of bed. At this point, Mica would've yelled at her to get up. Jessica missed Mica.

About an hour later, Jessica had gotten ready. Mica was no where to be seen. Jessica bit her lip and texted Mica. Hey, where are you? She texted. There was no answer right away. Actually, no answer at all. The whole school day had gone by and students returned to their dorms. There was still no sign of her. Mica! Where the hell are you? Stop your little prank! Jessica texted again. More time passed and Mica wasn't found. Jessica was really worried. Her first and only best friend in college was missing. She began asking people if they had seen her, but no one was helpful. All the same responses. No.

It was midnight. Jessica had finished her homework for the next morning. She was determind to find Mica. Some guy named Holt said he had seen her in the yard out back. The yard no one goes too. Appereantly people were using it as a shortcut to get to the party the night before. Legend has it, or people say people are murdered there. No one knows for sure. They're too scared to even set foot there.

Jessica wasn't scared. She wanted to find out what happened to her friend. Jessica dressed in all black, like she was going to rob someone. She took her bag which contained her phone only.

Jessica exited her dorm swiftly. No one was there to see her. She went down the stairs to the head of the building she lived in. Building C. The security guard was asleep as usual. She snuck through and exited the building.

She was outside. The cool, crisp air hitting her face. The wind attacking her a million miles a minute. It look like t would rain. She stared at the sky for a second, flaming a deep breath. Sucking in all the air that she could. Jessica began walking after letting out a large sign.

"Wait! Jessica!" A deep voice called out to her.

Jessica turned around to meet the eyes of Holt. His deep hazel eyes stared into her blue eyes. "What on Earth do you want?" Jessica retorted. "I wanted to come with you." Holt explained.

"No." Jessica answered and turned away from him. "Oh c'mon." Holt pleaded, grabbing her shoulder. Jessica ripped away from his hand. "Leave me alone." Jessica began walking away again. Holt glared at her. "I'm going to help you." He gritted his teeth. Jessica could feel his eyes burning through her.  He wasn't going to leave. "Fine." She groaned. Holt didn't say anything, but just ran up to meet up with her.

"Jessica," Holt tried. Jessica didn't look up. She continued walking, not looking from the ground. "Jessica." He said more sternly. Again, Jessica didn't bother answering. "JESSICA!" He yelled at her. "What?!" She screamed back. "What your about to see is -" Holt stopped. Jessica stopped. "What the hell is that?" She asked, her voice completely shaky. Holt frowned. "Bad." He finished.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY BEST FRIEND?!" Jessica's mouth was wide open. She was staring at her friends stabbed body. Holt stared at Mica, dead.

Jessica broke down in tears crying. She was punching Holt weakly as he cuddled her in his arms.
