Chapter 6: Need To Get Used To Changes

Yes, I collapsed. It was just so... Surprising... I, beta!? So funny! Haha! This must all be a dream! It must be! But it felt 500% realistic... Because it was 500% realistic... I was once a weak omega, and now!? I'm the BETA female of the creek pack! Was it true what Clavus said? That big packages always starts as small packages... Maybe... Well, everyone stared at me. My breath was heavy, it felt like I was a ghost. Then, everyone started to howl. "Long live the new beta female!" They howled. But even if they did, I know what i'm always the same loser in their eyes.

Especially Caeles. Even if I was a beta female he hates me. "You might be a beta now But you...You...Y...YOU KILLED LILAC!" He snarled as he lunged at me. But then Clavus joined us and stopped Caeles. "Stop! Don't you dare hurt the new beta female!" Clavus snarled. "But... SHE'S A MURDERER! A wh☆re!" Caeles exclaimed. "Yes, but you killed Mahéma, our old beta male, to recieve the rank beta." Clavus added, then Caeles had nothing to say.

"Congratulations Julia, you have become a beta. But now, let's continue our journey to find my mate and bury her..." Clavus said in a sad tone as he looked down at his paws. I just nodded silently. Me beta? Wow... I-I'd never expected this... This...This is not real right? It all feels so strange, but everything changes... I guess I need to get used to changes... But, I killed Lilac. Now, i'm a beta female!?

Can this situation get more unrealistic!?

Hours later we we're finally there! I smiled. Finally... "Sneak into their camp, and see if there is some trace of Lerna..," And now, if you looked carefully at him. Then you could see two tear drops rolling down. I sneaked as quiet as I could, and when I was close enough. I could see Maéla. He had a birth defect called melanism. Melanism is a birth defect that makes animals pure black, not normal black but like, ultra black. It looked pretty cool. But Maéla was a strong powerful wolf. "The creek pack has killed my whole family... The only beloved ones I had left... And now, I, finally get my revenge!" Maéla shouted, and the others exulted.

"Now now, let's dump this rotting corpse that cunt Clavus had as a mate, she's ugly as hell!" He snarled as he spitted on Lerna's corpse. The others laughed. What the!? How dare you! H...He...!? Okay, I want to see him dead. No one insults Lerna! She was a respected alpha! When I tried to take one step closer I accidently broke a twig. Damn it. I hate myself. "Huh, what was that?" A wolf that was standing beside Maéla said as he looked around. Well, at least we know that they still have the corpse.

I sneaked among the tall grass and the green trees. I could see my favorite tree. Gosh what I missed to sleep under it. "Seriously, I think I heard something." The wolf said. "Oh, Néomi. It's just your imagination, so stop bothering me and shut up! Or else... You'll end up like that wh*re..." He snarled as he showed Néomi Lerna's corpse. Did he just call her a...!? Okay, now that wolf definately crossed the line! But before I could do anything stupid that probably would kill us, Clavus gave us an order.

"Now, we'll distract them. Lahak, Robin and Sky. You'll find a way to distract them. Caeles, Julia and Idhà. You'll follow me to smuggle the corpse..." Clavus said as we all nodded. The others started to throw rocks at the other direction. And of course, the Lunar Pack got curious. "What was that...!?" Maéla growled. And then they walked to the direction the sound came from. When they we're gone, Caeles, Idhà, me and Clavus sneaked into their camp, our old camp. Ah... The smell of the Creek Pack wolves has disappeared.

Now it was just a nasty smell of pee, the Lunar pack has also parked their territory with pee. That's how we wolves actually do. Then, we'll saw it. Lerna's rotten corpse.... Scavengers and maggots feasted on it, so... So disgusting....! And Clavus.... He started to sob. "L....Lerna... I'll get our revenge..." He said as he then looked at his dead mate. "Now, let's bring her back and bury her..." He said, then he gave a signal to the others to return.
