Chapter 5: Beta Blood Spilled

The sun shined strongly on the sky. It woke me up, I was very tired, and everything was blurry. Until I got to the river and took a bath. I yawned everytime thought... Ah, my desire for food is burning. Literally. I walked into the woods for food. Then I got a scent of... Yes! I didn't even notice that the river had plenty of frogs nearby it. I paddered to the river. And when I was there, I didn't even need to do something. Just pick up the frogs real quick before they escapes.

I got three frogs, some of them got scared so I needed to chase them. When I had eaten four or five frogs my belly was satisfied. Amen frogs. Clavus howled, and I immediately returned back to camp. "Today! We're going to bring back my mate, and bury her. So she can rest in peace. And now, I will chose the wisest wolves that shall follow me!" Clavus howled. "Lilac and Caeles." He said. And the others exulted.

Pftt serious? Lilac and Caeles!? The wisest!? Haha, so funny. They're not wise, but dumb and everyone thinks that they're perfect. "No surprise." Lilac smiled, she thought she was a wise wolf? Plah-lease! "Yeah, and this ugly omega is not following us, no big surprise, besides. She belongs with the losers." Caeles smirked at me, and Lilac laughed. "So true!" She chuckled. And I growled at them.

"Julia." Clavus said. What!!?
"Uhm, yeah?" I said, I realized that I sounded like a loser.
"Um, you're following me..." Clavus cleared his thoat. What!?
"Wait wha!?-- WHAT in the world!? Am I gonna...!?" I almost choked! I must have heard wrong right! I mean, i'm just a clumsy little omega! Lilac and Caeles got surprised too, they almost dropped their jaws.

"Wh...What!? That loser is going to follow us!?" Caeles eyes widened.
"Clavus, that ugly omega!? Are you serious!?" Lilac shouted.
"Caeles! Lilac! Don't you dare to insult this wolf that has the honor to follow us!" Clavus growled. Haha, this must be a dream right? Nope, 100% realistic.

''Idhà and Lahak..." And Clavus continued to shout out names of wolves that would follow him. If the Lunar pack has already dumped the corpse, then there's no point looking right? Wait, if they had dumped it. They might just have abadoned it in the woods, so maybe there is a chance we'll find it!? "We leave at dawn." Clavus ordered as he disappeared into his den.

I could hear whisper about me.

"What!? He chose Julia!"

"He chose the weakest omega!?"

"Why?"

Yes, I wondered why too... Maybe I ask him later? Then, at dawn. Clavus howled for all the wolves that had the chance to follow him. "Let's go. Follow me!'' Clavus commanded, and we obeyed.

Hours has passed, we was taking a path on the mountain. I was very excited, but confused. Then I picked up my pace so I walked side by side with Clavus. "Um, Clavus...." I said. "Yes?" He responded, looking at me. "W...Why did you chose me?..." I asked him. "....Because, the truth in your eyes Julia. You made me feel better, and you we're the only one comforting me, and besides. The eyes tells everything. When you did your little speech. I looked into your eyes. They showed a leader, I think you would become alpha one day..." He smiled.

Wait what!? "Wowah woah woah! I'm the weakest omega! And besides, I had never been good at comforting people!" I gasped. "Well, big packages starts in small packages." He said. Wow, what a quote. "Hey, omega nerd!" Caeles whispered harshly. I turned around to see Lilac and Caeles. "What?" I asked them. "So tough now when you get to follow us huh!? Well, you still belong to the losers!" Lilac snarled. What the heck was her problem!?

"Lilac, look, I don't know why you're picking on me! I have never done anything to you!" I snarled back. "How dare you! Dunbass cunt, you think you're f☆★king smart right!? No, you're ugly and no one likes you!" She snarled aggresively at me. Then she bited me on the neck and threw me at a rock. I started to bleed. And everyone laughed.... T...They laughed... I had enough.

I was feeling like a volcano. Then, I grabbed Lilac, and she screamed and struggled to get free. "No, you're the only dumbass here. You pick on the weak, how weak YOU are..." I growled. Then I attacked her. I bited her neck so hard that she started to bleed. Now, she was fierce. She showed me her sharp teeth. "F☆★k you omega..." She growled. Then we attacked each other.

She bited my back, I started to scratch her on her face. Then I bited her neck and pinned her down. But she was stronger than me, so she broke free and pinned me down. I bited her leg so she fell down bleeding. Then, I grabbed her neck and threw her to the mountain wall. She was bleeding on the head. But then, she managed to get up again and lunged at me.

I fell, I was so near the cliff... "Now, who's the weak here!?" She snarled. But then, I stood up again and lunged at her. Then, I pushed her off the mountain cliff.

It....It was so fast... What have I done!?

She screamed and screamed until she hit the hard ground, all her bones broke. And she was....Dead... I-I'm a murderer!? No... It actually happens in real life, wolves challange each other until death because they want more dominance. But I did it because I had enough. So it means.... Clavus had seen everything, but he did nothing. Why? Because it's actually natural that this happens. But for me, this is like a supernatural scenario. But that means... Everyone gasped, they looked at me, no, stared at me, then they started to gossip and whisper.

I could still taste Lilac's blood in my mouth... It was disgusting... But still, it means that...

"Julia... You just killed our old beta.... Now... You're the beta female..." Clavus said. Everyone gasped, and I almost fainted.
