That night, Ladybug stood on patrol with Chat Noir.

"I guess you'll know who I really am now," she dejectedly told him, her feet hanging from the edge of the building they were sitting on.

Chat placed a hand on her shoulder. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"What other choice do I have?"

He shrugged. "You could let me help. We've always been a team. I can't let you do this alone."

"I don't want to drag you into this mess, Chat." She raised an eyebrow. "Wait what do you mean by not letting me do this alone?"

"I'll reveal my identity with you," Chat offered. "It's not fair to you to have to just do it alone."

Ladybug turned to face him. "You don't have to do this."

He smiled sadly. "I want to. I'll always be by your side, my lady, through the good and the bad."

Ladybug placed a head on Chat's shoulder, stifling a laugh when she felt him stiffen up. But, moments later, he relaxed and wrapped an arm around her waist.

"So, how about that singing, huh?"

Ladybug shot up. "Nuh uh. No way. I can't sing to save my life."

"Oh come on," Chat laughed. "I'm sure you're not that bad. Besides, it'll be fun."

"This'll be the weirdest reveal in history," she complained, repeating Tikki's words. "Revealing ourselves at a concert and then singing. Who would come up with such an idea?"

By now, Chat was rolling on the roof laughing. "Mayor Bourgeois apparently."

Ladybug giggled.

"So what do you say, my lady?" Chat asked. "Would you like to sing?"

Ladybug frowned. "I told you I can't sing."

"Well neither can I." He began singing a song completely off-key, bringing a smile to Ladybug's face. "What do we have to lose?"

"Our dignity," she muttered.

"We can't lose much more of that after revealing ourselves, can we?"

Ladybug's smile faded. He had a point. Inside, she was just an ordinary girl, not some superhero. After revealing herself as Ladybug, who knew? Maybe everyone would hate her.

Chat noticed her expression. "Oh don't be like that. I'm sure you're a purrfect girl under that mask."

Ladybug rolled her eyes at the pun. "That's the thing. I'm not. I'm just an average girl, nothing special." She met Chat's eyes. "What if you don't want to be my partner after you know who I am?"

Chat's eyes widened. "No matter who you are, I could never do that. We're partners for life, my lady, whether you like it or not."

Ladybug let a light laugh slip through her lips. "I suppose we are. So what song do you want to sing?"

Chat thought it over. "It shouldn't be any song," he pondered. "It should be a song about us." He gave her a flirtatious wink.

Ladybug ignored the last part. "Say, have you heard of the Ladyblog?"

Chat almost burst out laughing. Had he heard of the Ladyblog? He only followed it twenty-four seven in hopes of finding out his lady's true identity. "Yeah, I've heard it mentioned a few times," he calmly replied.

"Well," she continued. "The main introduction theme song thing for the Ladyblog is this song called 'It's Ladybug.' Maybe we could sing that."

Oh, he had heard that song. Every. Single. Day.

"Is there a part for Chat Noir?" he asked, as if he didn't know the answer.

Ladybug nodded. "It's not as long as Ladybug's, but..."

"That's fine," Chat conceded. "After all, I'm not a very good singer."

Ladybug raised an eyebrow. "You weren't that bad when Princess Fragrance made you sing."

"Yeah but she was controlling me."

"Fair enough." Ladybug smiled. "But you can't be that bad."

Chat cleared his throat and began singing. "They look at me and think I'm cool. I'm Chat Noir and at night I rule."

Ladybug's jaw dropped.

His voice sounded like an autotuned recording, with every note hitting the right pitch and being held for just the right length. The notes came out loudly and clearly and the sound went straight to her heart- making her shudder.

"That was... Amazing," Ladybug managed. She punched his shoulder. "What do you mean you can't sing? If that's not singing, I don't know what is!"

Chat's face turned as red as Ladybug's suit. Lucky for him, the shock of his singing hadn't allowed her to ponder how he already had the words to the song memorized.

It wasn't like he sang along to it every day or anything.

"You know what? You're right," Ladybug began. "Your voice did sound different when Princess Fragrance was controlling you. It wasn't this good!"

Chat's face turned redder, if that was possible. He took a deep breath and replied with a smirk. "I knew you'd eventually fall for some part of me my lady."

Ladybug smacked her forehead.

Chat laughed. "I'm kidding. But thank you. Now let's hear your singing."

Ladybug took a step backwards. "No way. Compared to you, I sound like a dying seal."

"I'm sure you're not that bad."

"I-" She shook her head. "Okay fine. But you have to promise not to laugh. You already sound like a professional singer!"

"Who says I'm not?" he teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Are you?"

Chat shook his head.

"That's what I thought," said Ladybug with a smile. Shaking her head, she began singing. "I live a life that's full of fun. It keeps me sharp, and on the run."

Chat raised an eyebrow. "Hey, that's pretty good."

"You think?"

He nodded as Ladybug turned to the clock on a building near them. "Well, looks like no akuma's coming tonight," she decided. "I'll see you tomorrow. Make sure to memorize the lyrics."

Already done. Chat thought. Before Ladybug could react, he brought her hand to his lips. "Until tomorrow my lady!"

And thus, both heroes flew into the night, back to the civilian worlds that would soon merge with superhero lives they had left behind.
