"H-h-hello?" Sammy's voice echoed and a man's face peered at her from one of the white suits as he scribbled something on what looked like a notepad.

"Where am I?" She didn't like the way her voice quivered and she didn't like the way he was looking at her either. It was slightly creepy how his face was devoid of any emotion but his eyes danced with shadows and light almost like the flames she watched as she burned her books the last day she spent at school.

"Samantha Evangeline Heart." It didn't sound like a question but she nodded her head with as much leeway as the straps holding her down allowed. They were thick and such a bright white just like everything else surrounding her but as she tested their hold, she couldn't seem to move at all.

"Welcome to New Earth. We have your room ready and we hope you enjoy your new life here with us." She couldn't help but feel like she was dreaming. If she could just free her hand to pinch herself then she could see her brother again.

"Franklyn." She whispered as she squeezed her eyes shut and tried to envision her brother right next to her. He was all she had left and it would break his heart if she weren't there when he woke up.

"Franklyn?" The man's voice drew her back to the present and she frowned at him.

"My brother. Where is he?" The man straightened and walked away from her but she couldn't move her head to see where he went.

"Where's Franklyn!?" She felt her scream draw attention as a few eyes focused on her but it took them several minutes of frantic whispered conversation before another, smaller person in a white suit approached her.

"Samantha Evangeline Heart, please calm yourself. Everything will be explained to you in due time. I am Doctor Millie Young and I'm going to take you to your room now." This woman had the same dancing eyes that the man had but hers were a light, friendly green and she actually smiled.

"Sammy." She said and the doctor nodded before resting her hand on Sammy's wrist.

"Sammy. Please follow me." It was the oddest feeling. One second she was tied down and couldn't move and the next, the doctor was holding her hand out for her to take and as she looked around, there were no bindings, no other beds and only Millie young waiting with an open white suited palm which she slid her own hand into. She could have sworn that there were more voices than that a few seconds ago. She scooted off of the bed, finding her knees a little weak but the doctor kept her from falling over as they walked out of an automatic door and into a very bright corridor.

Several steps away was a large glass door tinted to hide what lay beyond and Sammy found herself holding her breath. The door didn't open straight away so Sammy looked up at the doctor who smiled again with her dancing green eyes.

"This, is why we only take the good ones." With some unknown cue or key, the doors slid open and the green waiting on the other side almost blinded Sammy.

It was...It was beautiful.
