Dr Young stood by herself in a room.

The room was circular with no obvious entrance. Even though there were definitely walls, and Dr Young was most definitely standing on a floor, you weren't able to tell where the two met. There were no windows or light fixtures, yet the room had the perfect level of light.

Dr Young had been in this room many times.

She swiped her hand, gesturing in front of her, and brought up the video feed of Room 55 Alpha.

The image hung there, suspended in mid air. She watched the video while her left index finger stroked her top lip.

Dr Young was clearly nervous. Sammy barely had an orientation, but there was no time left if they were to succeed.

The doctor pulled up another screen with the swipe of her hand. She had to make sure that the tests were correct. A quick glimpse at the graphs showed that Sammy had the highest levels ever tested. Her scores were clearly 10 times higher than that of the next person.

When she looked at the monitor again, she could see Sammy standing at the door, looking into Room 55 Alpha.

Sammy looked up to see a dire wolf rushing straight at her. The dire wolf had a well groomed light brown coat, with red undertones.

With every step, its claws pierced the floor and ripped up pieces of the cement.

Sammy stood there, not reacting in any way. The dire wolfs eyes and Sammy's were locked in an unbreakable stare.

Franklyn's Companion had reached more than half way to Sammy. Nikki had decided that it was time to react, before someone was hurt.

She jumped in front of Sammy and growled through her teeth. The dire wolf dug its paws in and was able to stop a meter in front of Nikki, where he lay down.

Nikki leant up again Sammy. While stroking her head, Sammy wondered how a Jack Russell was able to stop a dire wolf mid-charge.

Dr Young closed down the video feed, slightly disappointed.

She Replied, "Yes, Ezekiel... I Know. But it is only her first day here."

She swiped her hand again and walked out the door that appeared in front of her.
