This book is off upcoming and is officially starting :D y'all are as pumped as I am for this so why not :DDD I'm so excited you guys!!!

"Mr. Power, where are we going?" I ask curiously. It's not that I don't trust Nathaniel, it's just I wish there was someone else with us that I trust more. Today is the day after the announcement that I'll be going to America, and I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach.

"We are going to go meet with my son," he vaguely explains not looking up from his book. We are currently on a private train, to who knows where, to apparently meet his son I never knew he had. Why are we meeting his son? So many questions swirl in my head, but only making more knots and clumps together and I eventually just let it go putting my full trust into Nathaniel. He's my father's advisor for a reason, right?

not long after, the train comes to a stop and I look out the window seeing countryside. Wait. The village in the valley seems vaguely familiar to me. I remember visiting this town when my father took me a tour of the whole kingdom when I turned 13.

This is where the guards are trained.

"Your son is going to become a guard," I infer turning back to him. He only nods folding up his glasses and putting them in his slack's pocket.
"Indeed, your majesty, but he is going to your guard. He's going to America with you."

I'm left speechless at his words.
Of course my father wants me to have a guard! That's how he'll know if I fail or not.
"Don't worry, Prince Aaron, I raised him so he must be good in some way right?" he smiles at his own comment making me loosen up. Usually Nathaniel is so rigid and stern, but here he is joking about how great his son is.

We walk out of the train into the train station and catch the car that'll take us to the training facility.

The concrete building is large and the windows are all one way so people can only out from the inside and from the outside, you can't see anything except your reflection. There's no obvious entrance, but Nathaniel seems to know what he's doing not thinking twice about walking to the back of building. He presses a panel of the exterior in, and soon a slab retreats back and slides revealing an entrance.

What the heck.

I decide not to question it, and walk in behind him. The hall we first enter into is dark and the walls are black with single bulbs on the side of us, like a runway you could say.

We continued walking for what felt like ages before we finally stopped in front of two large doors. Nathaniel waited for me and motioned for me to open the door which I did.

To be completely honest, I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I sure as heck wasn't expecting what I saw. The main room was like one you'd see in a spy movie. The whole room seemed to be a big square made out of metal with a small staircase that led up to a higher platform, and areas with glad Windows to the right and left showing people training and talking etc. (I'm totally thinking of that Cats and Dogs movie but I ain't putting a picture cause that's embarrassing xD) "woah," I breathe out making everyone's eye's land on me. Wow. I barely could hear myself. No wonder these guys protect our country. They carry on with their work, which confuses me since most would be baffled by why the prince is here, and Nathaniel leads to one of the doors leading out of the room.

We walk down a series of pathways, before we stop in front of a large door. "Vocal identification please," a robotic voice asks.

"Nathaniel Power here to see Lachlan Power with Prince Rober Aaron Latsky, Prince." He walks up to the door and I see a laser beam scan him before the door opens. Okay, cool!

He ushers me to walk in. I do, and see at least twenty or so men and women ranging from mid 20s to early 40s, then there was, whom I'm guessing, his son. They looked very similar, same color of honey hair, same having freckles all of over their face. But one thing was different, Nathaniel had dark, hard eyes while Lachlan had icy blue eyes. Bother could kill you with a glance by how cold they seemed, but their shades were on different lines of the spectrum. He looked around my age, no more than a couple of years older. He stood in front of a punching bag beating at it with his bruised, and already bloody knuckles with a thin layer of,sweat covering his body. His face was like stone, concentrated on the object in front of him as he repeatedly punching the hanging object in different patterns and motions. I could tell he wasn't my type already by his facial expression (just to avoid anyone from thinking anything if you're starting to ship it stop xD), but dang he's hot.

"Lachlan!" Nathaniel yells walking over to him. Lachlan turns towards us and waits for us to walk over. He starts unwrapping his hands before his father begins speaking. "Lachlan, you know what you have to do right?"

Of course," he scoffs rolling his eyes. "This isn't my first mission." I immediately he has an accent. Australian maybe?
"Of course it isn't, but it is you most important. Lachlan, meet Prince Aaron," Nathaniel motions to me and I give Lachlan a small warm smile, but he only stares at me, expression austere.

"I'm Lachlan Power."
