I Don't Love You

The search wasn't going succesfully.

She couldn't have gone far, right? I know where she lives (thanks, Google Earth), and I also know that she doesn't like going far from her house (thanks, Tweet from a year ago), so she couldn't have run far. Her house is round the corner from the park, anyway.

I stopped at a shop, and looked through all of the isles. The person behind the counter looked weirded out, so I brought something with the money I'd managed to find in the rip in my pocket.

I resumed my search after a rather awkward encounter with the shop person (what are those people called?) and soon saw a glimpse of black and blonde.

"Mel!" Shit, I probably look like a stalker.

Mel was running fast as fuck by now, and I was running down the road, panting with every movement. Everyone was staring at me, but I partially didn't care. Fuck them.

"Mel!" I sounded angry, even though I wasn't. I think it was the sudden aggression that made her stop in her tracks.

"Ashley, I can't," What? "First... uh first... Hayley..."

"Hayley has nothing to do with this," I regret my decision to defend her now.

"She has everything to do with this," Mel was shaky. Both her voice and her body were tense and cracking, and I felt like hugging her, "Why do you think that I moved schools? She's out to get me, Ashley."

I couldn't believe her. I felt sorry. I really did but Hayley's Hayley! She wouldn't hurt a thing...

I wakked away from her. I wasn't listening to her anymore. I couldn't, not after what happened when Hayley joined. What Melanie did was unforgivable, but I forgave her anyway.

I'm not giving her another chance.
