Chapter Two: The Nidoran Clan

I wake up in the morning and find that I had collapsed by my trainer. I see her laying next to me. "Um Heather?" She's still sleeping and she moves her arm "urmmmm." she moans. "Morning!" I say. Her hand finds me and she Pets me while her eyes are still closed laying on the ground "Morning Bulba" she yawns and opens her eyes.

She slouches up to a sitting position and opens her eyes. A Nidoran 🚺 comes up to us and sniffs me."Why hello there!" I say nicely and laugh. "Nice to meet you I'm Nida!!" She says and smiles. "My name is Bulba!" I say and smile at her. "So.... What are you doing?" I say to her confused." Oh I'm sorry... I was looking for my brother. He ran off an I can't find him." She frowns and looks around at the trees. "Ohhhh I'm sorry! I'll help you look for him!" We both smile and Heather smiles and laughs. "We better get goin'!" I say to Nida. "Yeah! Lets look this way!" She points towards a tree. "Okay!" Heather says and starts to pack her Backpack. "Lets go!" I say with a smile and Heather finishes packing and stands up.

She picks both of us up and smiles. Nidoran looks a bit shocked and amazed. Heather sees her face. "Um... I'm sorry..." She puts Nidoran back down on the ground. "It's okay..." Nidoran says as she starts walking towards the tree. Heather follows her with a smile on her face. "This way!" The Nidoran says as Heather's following her. I look around as I'm being holded by my trainer.

"There he is!!" Nida says running. I jump down and run towards her. "It's him" she points to her brother. "Nido!! How did this happen!?!?" She says. I finally get over to her and look at all of the vines Nido's tangled in. "Wow!" I say and try to pull on some of the leaves on the vines. "I'm-I'm stuck!!" Nido says in a muffled voice because of the vines on his mouth. Both Nida and I pull on the leaves while Heather Is still trying to catch up to us.

"Help!!" I yell over to heather. She finally comes over and try's to pull on Nido.

"TANGAAA!!!" A deep voice comes from the vines.. "W-who's there?" Nida and I both say at the same time. "Tana-Tangrothhh!!" A large pokemon comes out from the darkness of the forest which looks to be! the vines. "All of those vines is a pokemon! But what is it!?", I say.

"Help meee~", Nido says once more. Heather flips out her pokedex

"Scanning, scanning, scanning.... Tangrowth. Number 465, The Vine Pokemon." It says

"Hm... So it's a tangrowth.."

"This pokemon often gets mad when any nearby pokemon steals it's berries.." The pokedex continues. Heather shuts it and clenches onto the pokedex, mad.

The Tangrowth starts to walk away slowly and I walk directly in front of it. "Stop! Don't take my friends brothe--" I get cut off "Warning. Tangrowth can learn power whip at level 54 or higher!" The pokedex muffles just as something hits me.. Right in the face, I fly back into a nearby tree and lay there trying to get my breath back.. "Bulba!!!" Nida and Heather both run to me. Heather rustles through her bag and finds this pinkish-purple potion type thing and hands it to me. "Drink it!" She says. I drink it on my trainers command. I instantly feel a lot better and stand up, just as I see the Tangrowth start entering a cave near the edge of the forest! "We need to follow it! It has Nido!", Nida says. Heather picks me up "Ill carry you... C'Mon then, let's go!" She runt towards the cave and Nida follows.

Heather starts getting tired and walks about a 1/4 way until we reach the entrance of the cave.. About 10 Zubats fly past us nocking me out of heathers arms onto the ground. "Zubat, the cave pokemon. These pokemon are commonly found in and around caves." The pokedex says from inside her pocket. "No duh!" Heather shouts frustrated and then picks me up again. "Sorry for dropping you Bulba!" She says to me. "It's okay..", I try to say with a smile. It smells in here, I think to myself. Heather cringes at the smell. Nida is far ahead in the dark "C'mon! Hurry up!" Nida says.

"We're going!" Heather shouts back and pulls The TM 'flash' out of her bag. "I can't see a thing in this cave Bulbz!" She says with a sigh and sees a hurt zubat. "We need to help it!" Then she runs to it and gives the hurt zubat an Oran berry. It accepts and says, "Z-Bat!" Thanking us. "Hey, bulba?"

"Yea?" I say back to her

"Do you think we should have a zubat on our team? I mean.. We can have up to 6 pokemon on a team and. I was just thinking you might need a new friend for this journey!"

"Yeah! That's a great idea! A new friend would be great, a zubat would be a good edition to our family!" I say cheerily. And heather looks over to her bag and stares at the 5 pokeballs the professor gave her when heather first started her journey, only 4 left. One was used on me, I think to myself.. "Use these carefully.." Heather mumbles back from what professor oak told her.

She then stares down at the zubat that's looking up at her now. "Zubat, would you like to be one of my pokemon?" She sets a Pokeball on the ground and smiles. The zubat Thinks for a minute then jumps up and walks over to the pokeball and presses it!

"Bump........bump............bump.......... CLICK." The Pokeball Sounds like. "Yes!" Heather says then throws the Pokeball at the ceiling. "Go Zubat!!" A red explosion. Then I see Zubat fly around Heather and I. "Haha Yay! Zubat, come here!" Zubat lands on her hand.

"Zubat. Would you like me to give you a nickname?" He jumps. "Bat-bat!"

"So... Do you like, Zyph? (Z-I-ph)" heather says. "Bat-zu-bat!!" It says in excitement.

"Well then Zyph it is!!" She smiles. "Now that all of this is over, zubat. Can you learn 'Flash'?" She asks and holds
