OK, the truth is, I have a problem with Jensen. I know he's done some good things for this group. However, he gives me the wrong vibe. He's the newest member and already has progressed in rank faster than anyone in our little regime. He's determined and ambitious... a little too ambitious. I just can't trust someone like that. I'm supposed to be the leader, yet here Jensen is with his perfect "attitude" and ways of subtly taking control of my missions, like coming up for most of the plan for the current one. Well, there's nothing I can do about that for now.
I can't really worry about that right now anyway. We're focused on bringing supplies into our hideout right now, which so convienentally located in the abandoned Silver Nugget Casino. Classy, right? It stinks. Literally stinks. It smells like a cigarette factory blew up in here. But, hey, we made due. With the change in landscape lately, the bank is rather close to our current location. Phoebe, our wonderful navigator, picks the perfect places to stay.
"Eliza! You know the route, right?" Phoebe questions as she runs up next to me.
"Of course, dear. I got it all drawn up and ready to go for tonight,"
"Good... good... very good..." she mutters nervously. Her messy mane of black hair covers her face and I can't tell what she's so worried about.
"Hey, we'll be just fine, Pheobe. We've done this dozens of times by now," I console her as best I can.
"Not this! This is different! You said so yourself! I thought we had a no kidnapping policy! This... this is-"
"Hey! Listen, I know our rules, but as they change, we have to. One of the Institute's top bosses will be there. We need her if we are going to win this fight!"
"But-"
"No, stop worrying. This is a good plan," I walk away through the maze of old, broken gambling machines, leaving her to stand there as she bites her nails. Typical Phoebe. She worries too much. I mean there's nothing wrong with this. Sure, we had certain rules at the beginning, but we have to adapt to survive. And to survive, we have to follow their rules.
