I never pegged you as someone to give up Sakura."

His voice wouldn't leave her mind.

"Stop." Sakura whispered, covering her ears with the hospital pillow.

"Are you really that easily influenced?" His dark, snake-like voice kept hissing in her ears.

"You aren't really here." The tears began leaking from her eyes.

"I'm always here Sakura. You can't escape from me." She could feel him chuckle next to her.

The screams started.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Sakura screeched, thrashing around in her sweat soaked sheets. Her breathing began becoming uneven; her body began to shake; her pupils dilated; she gasped for breath.

Just like every night.

The ANBU exams were taking place today, so here was Sakura walking to the Hokage tower. She walked up the stairs, and straight into Tsunade's office without a second thought.

All the heads in the room turned to her. There was Tsunade, Genma, and many other people she didn't reconize.

"Nice of you to join us, Sakura." Tsunade said smiling at her. Sakura bowed her head but kept her emotionless face.

Sakura walked to the line of when all the other were. "As I was saying," Tsunade explained, "Genma is holding the ANBU exam this year while I monitor it all. But I will tell you all now that there are two parts to this exam. The second part will be explained when we finish the first. Ready?"

"Hai!" Everyone in the room coursed accept Sakura.

"Then to training grounds 7." Genma said winking at her. Sakura just frowned and did three simple hand signs.

A women stood there, high and mighty, giving no sign of fear as she listened to the warning.

"From here on out, it'll be dangerous."

As if that'll scare the pants off Haruno Sakura, the last lineage of the Haruno Clan. Finally being able to accomplish her vengeful goal, with Sasori head as a trophy,
Sakura feared no one. Not the dead bodies that she sees everyday, neither the live ones lurking in the shadows. No one.

"Are you sure to continue the ANBU test?"

"Yes." No doubt.

"Even though it's at the cost of your life?"

Sakura gave an unenthusiastic nod. "Aa."

"You might die."

Sakura scoffed. She killed hundreds of people. Children. This was nothing

"We won't be liable for your death."

She sneered, growing impatient.

How could she? How could they presume that the last and final part of the ANBU exam could kill her? She, the-Haruno Sakura. Haven't they seen her in action, in the battlefield where her strength is put to the test? She might actually be more skilled than all the ANBU combined.

"I'm not going to die." Sakura stated as if it was an obvious fact.

With that assurance alone, the man whose face was hidden in the wolf mask standing in front of the door gave a curt nod and stepped aside.

"You may enter."

It might have been a while since Sakura had started walking aimlessly in the dark alley. With no form of any light to guide the way, the alleyway gave a cold and dark ambiance. But Sakura couldn't care less.
