The face he made was indeed frightening, but she had to keep calm so she could be in the courtroom and back.

"Why are you going, and why in the hell does he want to see my daughter?" Drake asked. Nicki bit her bottom lip as she looked into his eyes. She released her lip and sighed, putting Kyleigh on the floor to sit. She looked up at her parents worriedly; she always had when she sensed trouble between Mommy and Daddy.

"Aubrey, I'm just doing a favor for a friend. It's nothing serious; and he wants me to bring our daughter to the hearing because he hasn't seen her in a while," she tried.

"I don't give an ass if he hasn't seen her in a thousand and one years. You're not taking her, and you aren't going. It's your birthday for Christ's sake!" He was angry, and there was no stopping him.

"Aubrey, please," she begged, but he didn't care. His pride was hurt. She was visiting another man on the day they were supposed to be together.

"Onika, no," he countered back at her. Any more of this nonsense, and he would blow a gasket. "You know what him and I have been going through, and you know how I feel about the thought of you even mentioning his name, Onika." Drake was relentless.

"You act like I'm going to see him just to f-" she stopped. She knew that if she'd finished that sentence, they would be hell to pay.

"Finish that sentence. I dare you, Onika. I. Dare. You." Nicki sighed as she heard a certain someone getting fussy. She looked down and saw little Kyleigh with her brows knitted together. She bent down and picked her up, setting her sturdily on her hip.

"I'm sorry, Aubrey. But we have to go," she said as she walked around him to the door.

"When you get back, put Kyleigh down for her nap. It's gonna be a long afternoon for the both of us," he said. Nicki didn't even turn around. She paused and took in everything he said.

"Alright," she breathed out. She kept walking until she made it out the door. She went to the car and out Kyleigh in her large car seat. Nicki made sure Kyleigh was strapped in before going to the front. She got in and started the car after putting on her seat belt. Backing out of the gate, Nicki watched it close as she drove on. The drive to the courthouse would take thirty minutes to an hour, so she kept her daughter occupied by talking to her.

Kyleigh, of course, couldn't respond well, though. Since Ky was two, Nicki could say she was fluent in Gibberish-speak. When Nicki thought Kyleigh was starting to get bored, she gave her instructions to play on the iPad mini that was installed in the seat. She drove and drove, thinking of the rules of the courtroom.

1.) Cell phone use is strictly prohibited in the courtrooms. Cell phone camera and video is strictly prohibited in the courthouse.

2.) Inclement weather – In the event of adverse weather conditions and/or other unusual conditions, information will be posted on this website and by media outlets throughout the state, including radio and television.

3.)Proper dress is required. No shorts, tank tops, or hats are allowed in any courtroom.

4.) Children are allowed in the courtrooms as long as they are not disruptive during the proceedings. There is no daycare service at any of the courthouses.

5.) There is no food or beverages allowed in the building. Please see the Capitol Police if there are exceptions.

She had already spoken to them upon getting ready to leave for the courthouse, and they approved of her having snacks and juice for Kyleigh. They didn't grant her wish because she was Nicki Minaj, but because they knew she had a good heart. They knew of the Drake/Meek feud, and coming to the hearing knew she cared for Meek as well as Drake.
