"Your back," Edna said as I stood on her doorstep.
"Yeah, it's nice to see you again," I said.
She looked me up and down, rolling her eyes.
"I guess things didn't go as planned," she said with satisfaction.
"No," I said. She rolled her eyes again and showed me to my old room.
"I'll let you rest tonight, but a list of chores will be given to you," she said.
"Please no, I have money that I can give to you," I said.
"How much?", she asked.
"15,000 dollars," I said, I may or may not have taken it out of Roman's bank account.
"Keep your money child. Like I said your chores will be given to you and I expect you to do them. If you choose not to, I'll kick you out,'' she said.
I nodded my head and she left, closing my sliding doors.
"Katherine!", I heard a voice exclaim. I turned around and saw Gracie.
I hurried up and ran to give her a hug.
"It's been so long. I've missed you! What are you doing back?", she asked.
"There were a few problems and I left," I said. She nodded her head.
"Details?", she asked.
''Well first off Ben got married," I said.
"Are you fucking serious? After all you've do-I can't believe this motherfucker," she said shaking her head.
"Yeah, but then I met another guy. His name is Roman and I love him so much. Everything between us was so perfect and then I found out he was Ben's brother. I ended up cheating on him with Ben. We got back together, I got pregnant. Ben's wife destroyed the kingdom and Ben had to live with us. And of course him and Roman have been arguing like crazy, I just couldn't take it anymore," I said.
"Wait your pregnant?", she asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"Then how are you go-
"I'm not showing, I shouldn't show for a while," I said.
"But you said Ben was a werewolf, so I'm guessing his brother is too and werewolf pregnancies go by faster. A baby is born in 3 months by the end of the first month, you'll look like it's been the end of the first trimester ," Gracie said.
"Fuck! I'm already a month pregnant," I said.
"Shit! What are you going to do? Especially when Edna finds out,'' Gracie asked.
"I don't know, I've tried to pay her off, but she won't take the money," I said.
"How much were you trying to give her?", Gracie asked.
"15,000," I said. Gracie snorted.
"That's chump change to her. She made more money off you in a night," Gracie said.
"I didn't know that she always made it seem like I made nothing," I said
"She wanted it that way. If you didn't make any money she wouldn't have taken you back," Gracie said.
"Well I guess I'll just have to work, hopefully my pregnancy won't start showing anytime soon," I said.
"Yeah hopefully and if all fails you can go back home. I'm sure your boyfriend is missing you," Gracie said.
"Probably, but him and his brother argue too much. I get why, but I wish they could get along and not let me get in the way. I mean what happened to bros before hoes," I said.
"Well obviously you weren't just a hoe to them. You are much more, your wifey material," Gracie said.
"Yeah, Roman proposed," I said.
"Did you say yes?", Gracie asked.
"Of course, I love him. There was no way I could say no," I said.
"Do you have any feeling for Ben?", Gracie asked.
"At this moment no, I'm completely in love with Roman. I can't see myself without him. I was in love with Ben, but those feelings are gone. I guess I got over him after all the rejection and hurtful things he said," I said.
Gracie nodded.
"Well I'm going to go to bed, I'll see you in the morning," I told her.
She nodded and left out.
I got under my covers and felt like I was about to cry.
I missed Roman so much, but I knew if I stayed there his and Ben's relationship would never improve.
But a call couldn't hurt.
