"We have bad news for you... Your dad sadly did not make it. You two are very lucky. You survived a very dangerous crash. If your dad made it through the crash, he would have gone to jail for drinking and driving." Said the officer. Olivia looked at me. It was one of those "Don't worry" looks. If my dad is dead, that means I am an orphan. That means I am going to go into a care home. I once had a friend who lived in a care home. She said it was horrible until she got fostered. I haven't spoken to her for years now. I smile at Olivia. She smiles back. Now you might be thinking, why aren't you crying? Well you see, my dad always abused us. We hated it and we hated him. It sounds mean but really it isn't.
The Officer looked puzzled. "You know girls, you shouldn't be ashamed of crying." He said looking straight into our blue eyes. We looked at each other. We looked back at the Officer and smiled. He seemed a little weirded out but we didn't care. They took us back to our house. They told us to pack a suitcase but they didn't say why. Me and Olivia already knew where we were going.
Later that day, we arrived at a big house. From the outside it looked a bit like the White House except that it was way smaller and not white. I didn't know what to expect. Were they going to be nice to us? Horrible? A lady opened the car door. I stepped out. She had long blonde wavy hair. She had glasses. She was wearing a long dress with purple and green flowers on them. At first I thought she was one of those hippies but she didn't have those round sun glasses or the flower head band. "You must be Zoë Rose and Olivia Rose. How nice to meet you! I am so terribly sorry for your loss!" She exclaimed in a rather excited way. "Yes I am Olivia and this is my younger sister Zoë. Thank you for letting us stay in this... Care home!" Said my sister. The lady beckoned us towards the door. I am beginning to feel extremely scared now.
