Chapter 3

He smiled happily and shook his head. "No, I've got some work to do. I just want to tell you something before I leave. "

Mikhail called out a girl's name and a girl I've never met before stood behind him." She is Kaashvi my fiancee." He said to me with a smile as he draped his arm around her waist.

Kaashvi smiled and waved her hand at me. My heart felt as if it had stopped beating. My face expression had totally changed. I showed them my fake smile. "Oh, wow! She is so beautiful. I 'm Saima.... Mikhail's best friend since we were kids." I said to her.

Mikhail grinned. "Awww., I'm so happy to see you again Saima."

I nodded. My eyes kept staring at Kaashvi. "Well, it's been great seeing you Mikhail but, I have a work to do. So see you later." I said walking away from them and let my mom talk to them.

Now, I feel pain inside. It's hurting me so much. I can't explain in words because no one will ever understand my feelings. I couldn't think straight.

I ran towards my room and slammed the door shut.

I finally let my tears pour down. I cried so much I couldn't hear my own voice. "I meet him after such a long time, and he introduces me to his Fiancee? God! Why are you hurting me like this?"
