"Kami-sama..." A cat with blue eyes padded down the street. "Am I clawing my way up the wrong tree? Why..."

The cat eyed you, your hair flipping in the wind as you bickered with one of your best guy friends, Karma Akabane.

"Who says you're the best at math?!" You stomped your feet childishly and pouted for all you were worth.

So cute... the cat thought.

It was the day to worship the God of Wishes, and you being you, you would rather stay in the classroom and watch anime than go to a temple and pray.

The cat prayed for at least something to happen. And it did.

The cat started to grow, into a certain mammal with two legs and two arms, and his fur slowly disappeared, turning him into a human with blue twintails, blue eyes, and an average Japanese boy's school uniform.

"Wha-what is this...?" The former cat mumbled as he looked at his arms and legs. "Nyow do I walk?" He took a small step, then another one, but tripped over his own foot. "Yow! This is going to take a lot of practice..."

The neko-boy pictured the scenario of them meeting in his head, then came to a shocking discovery: he hadn't picked out a name for himself yet!

Dammit, why?! He grabbed his pigtails in frustration. Then he had an idea.

Going up to one of the prefects standing outside the door of one of the schools, he looked at his nametag and smiled cat-like.

Nagisa... Nagisa Shiota. He smiled happily, walking casually away from the school. Now to find [Y/N].

At the time, you were just out of school, and you were walking down the hill when you saw this boy walking like a model struts the catwalk. He had blue twintails and bright blue eyes.

Normally your gaze would be caught in your friend Karma's right now, but Karma had bunked off school again, so you could focuse on the boy that had caught your attention.

"Hi!" You bounded down the hill and almost crashed into him, but barely managed to avoid his foot by a millimeter.

"H-hey, [Y/N]." He smiled at you, and you almost melted into a puddle on the floor.
