Chapter 4: Gym Class

The rest of the class was quick, but boring. Even though my hot crush was beside me, we didn't say anything else. My next class was gym. That was my favorite class at my old school.

The bell rung and I started to pack up my things and started to walk to, well if I find gym. I was wondering around like an idiot. "Need help, again?" I wondered how she did that. I turned around to see ny red-headed friend.

"Yeah." I stated raising an eyebrow. "What class does you have next?" Scarlet asked looking at my folder. "Gym. Same." She started walking towards a big lobby. "I heard you and Hanzo were flirting with each other." Scarlet started.

I knew I was blushing wildly. "W-what?! No! Who told you that?!" I panicked. I'm not good with hiding secrets. "Oh, my friend Frost saw you two talking and blushing with Scorpion himself." I was blushing like crazy.

We arrived at the Gym lobby. Some people were sitting on the bleachers. "You are lucky that you get to even speak to him. I mean, his girlfriend would go crazy if she finds out." Scarlet stated as we went to the locker room to get changed. "Hanzo has a girlfriend?!" I asked surprised.

"You thought someone like Hanzo would be free? He is one of the most popular boys at this school. He has popular and cute friends. What do you think?" Scarlet exclaimed. I grew a little sad. "Don't worry, his girlfriend is snobby and bullies everyone. Sooner or later, he would see her as the monster she is and dump her." Scarlet cheered me up.

We stepped out the locker room. When I looked up I saw Hanzo doing push-ups. My heart did somersaults again. Then I heard a whistle blow. I covered my ears. "Attention everyone!" Everyone grew quiet.

Mr.Goro continued. "I am suppose to announce that there is a dance on Friday for our win against the Netherrealm. It starts at 3:15 and ends at 6. But for now, we play dodgeball!" Mr.Goro anounced.

I love playing dodgeball. That was the only thing I was good at at my old school. I cheered.

"Hmmm, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, you both are team captains." Goro announced. I saw them cheer. They both had to choose the people to be on his team.

Everyone had to get in a horizontal line. I saw Scorpion look at me and wink. "Hey, new girl! Get over here!" He said. My heart pounded in my chest.

Sub-Zero picked my sister. I was so ready for this. Kitana looked at me with a wink. Then Scorpion picked a guy named Ermac. Sub-Zero picked another guy named Noob.

I was glad that Scorpion picked Scarlet. Sub-Zero picked a guy named Smoke. Next Scorpion picked a girl named Jade. Sub-Zero picked Sonya. Scorpion picked a boy named Johnny. After a long time picking two people were last. A girl that wore purple and a guy that looked kinda burnt, but had a mask on.

"Kabal." Scorpion stated. The girl in purple looked upset. "Babe." I heard her wine. "Don't take it too personally." Scorpion stated getting ready. She stared at me coldly.

"Ready...set...go!" Mr.Goro blew the whistle.
Nobody POV
Scorpion's team ran the fastest so they were the first to get the Dodge balls. Scorpion throw one at Sub-Zero, but he ducks and throw one back at him. Scorpion Dodge it but move on to the next person.

Mileena throw one at Skip Time

Mileena POV
Only ones left was me, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and surprisingly that girl who seems to be Scorpion's girlfriend. I threw one at her and she just stood there, screaming like a lunatic. I rolled my eyes. Of course I hit her. That's when all of a sudden, Scorpion was in front of me and got hit with the dodgeball.

That's when I realized that it was trick. Scorpion and his team cheered me on and I was so nervous, but I had to get my head in the game.

I threw a ball Sub-Zero, but I missed only for the ball to bounce back and hit him in the back. He looked confused. I cheered and my team did the same crowding me and praised me. I heard the bell ring

"I knew you could do it!" Scorpion praised. I blushed. "Aw, it was nothing." I said my heart pounding in my chest. He smiled at me warmly. He looked into my eyes. I felt there were no one in the world. But then the girl in purple interuppted us and hugged Scorpion. "You were great out there, Babe." I realized that when she called him babe she stared at me coldly.

"You were really great too, Li Mei..." Scorpion trailed off. I sighed to myself and walked away. But before I could, I heard Hanzo call my name. I turned around. "See ya later." He waved while him and his girlfriend walked of gym.

I still couldn't get the thought out that Scorpion sacrificed himself. Still it was nothing really major and he probably does that to all of his teammates. My thoughts were interuppted by Scarlet screaming at me excitedly.

"Omg, he wanted you to win!" She screamed excitedly. I was confused and embarrassed. "Why would he want me to win?" I asked confused. "Um, I dunno, because he likes you!" She screamed. We walked to the gym locker room, got changed, and walk out the gym.

"Maybe he does that to all his teammates." I shrugged. "That was the only time he ever did that." Scarlet pointed out. I rolled my eyes, but the thought that Scorpion might like me makes me feel warmth in my heart.

"Anyways, what class do you have next?" Scarlet asked me after calming down. I look at my schedule. "Drama." I responded. She gave me a sad expression. "We don't have the same class." She pouted. I pouted too. I don't know that much people here. "Well, maybe I could meet with you later. See you soon." Scarlet said dreadfully.

I waved bye as we went our separate ways. I forgot one of my books in my given locker so I walked to where the lockers were. I walked to my locker and put in the combination. When I just opened it, someone just closer the locker rudely.

"Hey!" I yelled with a little bit of anger. I saw that the person was Li Mei, Scorpion's girlfriend and she wasn't happy. I sighed heavily. Oh boy.

Sorry if I took so long to update. I was really busy.

I'm sorry if you want to know what happened during dodgeball battle, but I honestly didn't feel like doing the scene.
