They patrol the city every morning, making sure everything is in place. Making sure people fear them to satisfy their hunger for power and attention. I am not afraid of them, I despise them, I HATE them. They ruin everything they come in contact with.

They watch every person like hawks.

One wrong move, and they will kill, without any sort of hesitation. That is how much power and fear meant to them. they have no heart, no feelings. Well, what cyborg WOULD, have feelings. If they did, will they act like a human being? could they cry?

"Nichole!" I turned to look at Anna, realizing she has been calling me for a while.

Anna was my best friend, she took me every where with her. I felt like a her pet sometimes, but it was better than staying at my house doing nothing.

Today, she took me to a coffee shop, where she bought us both small lattes and a couple of sugar cookies.

I stared out the window at a group of six cyborgs that trolled by. I finally shot my staring gaze at Anna, giving her the satisfaction of my attention.

"Finally!" she exclaimed.

"What?" I asked, trying to look as innocent as possible.

"You were dozing off again."

"Sorry." I apologized. I wasn't a very good listener most of the time. I was clumsy, stubborn, and I thought A LOT.

It's very hard to catch my attention.

"Don't be sorry!" she stated in a squeal.

"I just really need to talk to you."

"What about?" I replied

"I'm getting married!" she squeaked, while holding out her hand with a beautiful pearl ring stuck on her finger. I looked at her in a surprised gaze.

"What!?" I said instantly sitting up in my chair.

"Yep!"

"I'm so, happy for you!" I spoke in a high voice

"Thanks! I'm asking YOU to help me plan the wedding!" she exclaimed while waving her hands in the air near her face.

"Really?!"

"Yes, that's why I brought you here." she pointed around, gesturing to the cafe we we're in at the moment.

"Oh!" I happily blurted out.

"How should we plan it though?" I asked curiously.

Anna opened her mouth smiling, but she was interrupted.

The cities siren has gone off.

We ran out of the cafe, the siren was still screaming.

All hell was about to break loose.
