The are knocking!! Open the door! My mind screamed at me. I looked for my mother in every room of the house she wasn't here.... Pulling myself together, I slowly and hesitantly walked over to the knocking on my front door.

There were three of them. Their bright round red eyes staring at me, full with hunger and evil. I wanted to look away but I couldn't, they would take it as a sign of disrespect. Leaving ME bleeding to death in the porch.

Trying to give myself a dose of courage, I spoke to them.

"M-may I help you?" I choked in the shakiest, high pitch voice I have possibly made in my life time.

The cyborg cocked his steel skull to one side, confused on my reaction. I finally got the chance to look away as I pretended to be interested in a man walking his large dog across the street.

He interrupted me and responded in the deepest, artificial, cyborg voice.

"We have realized you have been present at an incident that has taken place down town in a couple hours time. We are here to ask you a couple of questions, based on the incident."

"Okay." I replied, realizing my knees will give out any minute now.

"Do you know this man?" The robot asked, pulling out a picture of the attractive man I HAD seen earlier down town.

"No, no I don't." I choked.

"Have you seen him since the incident?"

"N-no." I replied breathlessly.

"Very well.'' He replied in his calmest voice yet

He turned to the other two cyborgs speaking in an unusual language with quick swift sounds and a couple of clicking noises. I felt uncomfortable at this, very scary, unnatural language.

"Thank you, for your...." He paused and stared at me for a good 5 seconds.

"Cooperation...." he replied hesitantly.

I looked at him, making sure I made a face to make him realize I was a bit offended. Was I not giving the damn robot honest answers? Was I not giving it my full attention? Stupid machine I cursed at it.

I closed the door utterly confused. My mind started to race with questions and answers like my brain was a timed puzzle game. Why are the after the guy? Was it only MY house they came to? Were they trying to kill him?

I had so many questions right now, but I had questions that no body I knew would help me answer. I leaned on my front door trying to think about what just happened. I tried to push my thoughts to the back of my head for now. I walked around my small two-story house looking for my mother. She was no where, I was confused. She would never leave me here at the house alone?

I found my phone in my back pocket. Flipping through the contacts I found my mothers number. I tried to contact and call her.

No answer.

Looking around my house for any sort of bag, I went into the kitchen looking on the hat rack that stood against the pale wall next to the stove. Swimming through the hanging jackets and sweaters. I found no bag.

I walked straight to the closet that was hiding behind the stair case. opening the dark closet I moved, stacked and opened old shoeboxes full of junk. No bag.

Staring at the stair case, I finally went up to my messy boring room. Immediately eyeing my closet, I walked briskly to the mirror doors and slid then with both hands.

I moved shoeboxes, sweaters, and clothes. I finally found a bag.

The bag was a big rectangular, shaped bag made of cloth. I had two pockets on the side, it was large, and perfect for throwing clothing in there.

I sighed in satisfaction and slumped the newly found bag over my shoulder. I grabbed many pieces of clothing to last me a week. Which was good right?

I grabbed my phone charger, and the smaller pieces I needed to live with, and through them in the two side pockets. I swung the rugged old bad across my chest.

I took a quick peak out of my window, it was pitch black outside....

If I was going to stay at Anna's, I needed to get there quick, I do not want any cyborgs catching me out at night.

Walking out of my room, I turned of the light and shut the door. I trotted downstairs and walked to the front door. I opened a crack if it, to make sure no cyborgs were out at the moment.

I quietly slid through the door and shut it as quiet as possible. As hard as I tried, the door still closed with a loud click.

Looking up and down the dark, quiet street, I briskly walked across the street to Anna's house. I silently stepped onto her porch and pressed the door bell. She better answer I thought desperately.

To my absolute luck she opened the door.

"Nichole! What the hell are you doing!! You can get caught out here and-"

She paused right there, staring at me, with a blank expression.

"I know!" I protested.

"But is it okay if I stay for the night?"

I asked embarrassed.

"Oh yeah!! Of course!" I sighed in relief as she welcomed me in.
