"[y/n] sama. it's time for your daily treatment." Your maid came in with a smile on her face. "Thank you." You opened your mouth and swallowed the pills. "I'll be back to serve your dinner, rest well my lady."

With that, she closed the door. Your best friend, silence, was back.

You laid in your warm bed,being bed ridden from a serious illness. you were kept in the palace, isolated from everybody but your maid. You gave a sad smile, remembering the times you were still able to walk.

The moments you spent with your parents in the lovely garden under the cloudless sky. The palace was filled with endless laughter and happiness. Until one day, you fell half way while playing hide and seek with your parents. You couldn't find the strength to stand. You cried as loud as you could. Ever since then, you were unable to walk, bedridden for 8 years.

"Ne reply me bunny san." You frowned. You tried talking to your stuff bunny but no answer, You weren't actually expecting a response but you heard a soft "hey."

"Bunny san! You spoke!" Your face lit up with excitement. "Nope, i did." You looked up and saw your own reflection. "My..reflection?"

Suddenly a girl with blue twin tails appears. You were taken back. She was dressed in a cloak. "W-who are you?" You covered your face with your blanket. "I'm a magician. i'm nagisa. What's yours?" She smiled. You lower the blanket and mumbled your name. "Nice to meet you [y/n] chan!" The magician grinned.

After introducing one another, you found out that nagisa was actually a boy with long hair. Your heart felt at ease just talking to him. He's voice was music to your ears, making you feel sleepy. "Are you tired? You should get some rest." You shook your head vigorously and pouted," No! If i do that, you'll disappear..and i'll be lonely again.." 

Nagisa smiled," Don't worry, i'll be here for you, i promise you. After all, you're my friend!" Your cheeks turned red," Friend...It's been so long since i had one." You smiled before your eyes closed on it's own. The last thing you saw, was nagisa smiling.

"[y/n] sama...[y/n] sama?" You slowly opened your eyes and saw your maid. "It's time for dinner." She lay out your dinner in front of you. "Thank you, would you mind i eat alone?" The maid bowed," Of course, my lady. I'll be back to collect your dishes."

After she closed the door, you immediately called out. "Nagisa san? Nagisa san!" No response. You teared up,"I knew it.."

"Knew what?" The familiar voice rang throughout the room. "Nagisa san! I thought you were gone!" Tears dripped down your cheeks. Happy tears.

"I told you, i'll be here for you. I've never broke a promise before." Nagisa grinned. Your heart melts from the scene of him grinning.

As days went by, the friendship grow stronger.

"Wanna see a magic trick?" Your face looked at him curiously. He chant a few magic words and said your name. You felt a heavy weight fell of your chest. "Try standing up."

"But i can't! I've been like this for 8 years.." You looked down. "Ne [y/n] chan..do you trust me?" You could see his sincere face. You gathered your courage and gulped.

Your bare foot touched the hard cold wooden floor. Using your night stand as support, you stood up and felt something incredible supporting your legs, something you haven't felt for a long time.

Strength.

You took your first step, nagisa's encouraging words made you carry on. You walked back and forth, each steps got easier and easier, with the help of nagisa.
