" Alright, bye bro love yah" I said as walked out of my friend Jake's house.
"See yah Hayden" Jake said as I slammed the screen door shut. I grabbed phone out of my jacket and called my dad. No answer. Guess I'll have to ride the subway again.
As I was on the subway I sent my dad a hate text. He promised he was going to pick me up today. Whatever one more year of high school and I'm out of here
I got off the subway and walked up the stairs taking in a deep breath of the smoggy New York air. As I landed my feet onto the gum filled sidewalk I was overcome by a large crowd going the opposite way of me. Deep down inside I knew I shouldn't do it but I turned and walked on the sidewalk. I was going to see what they were running from. I started to feel shaking from the ground. I ignored it an kept running. That didn't last long because I came to a screeching halt face down on the sidewalk. The shaking was getting worse.
"Earthquake!" I heard somebody yell while running. I ignored it. What could gone wrong with a little shaking of the earth?
I got back up and wiped myself off. As I started walking again I was thrown down to the ground again. I got back up and realized I wasn't even. I looked at the ground. It was about a 4 inch difference. My right side slowly became lower and lower. As I picked my foot up I fell. Only this time I didn't stop falling.
