A DAY BEFORE THE PREMIER

I'm sitting on my couch inside my unit, not feeling like doing anything.

Figuring I should make my time worthwhile, I open my Twitter app, since I don't know what's going on for I turned my Notifications for the app off.

The first thing I saw caught me off guard. It was a tweet from a fan.

cutienaddie: I'm a JaDine fan but Ericka's tweet is kinda sad. @JayeWolf, don't be a playboy

What?

What did she tweet?

Quickly, I check her profile and instantly I knew what the fan was talking about. Her tweet read:

theerickav: When he tells you one thing, and he tells the world another is frankly just... Sad. #player

Is this girl insane? I'm about to reply to her tweet, saying that she should understand my job, but I stop myself.

So, I tweeted.

JayeWolf: If you don't know what happens behind the camera, don't speak, don't bash. I'm just being real. #Careless

Instantly the fans assume that Ericka and I are really a thing.

nadyamazing: so you're with Ericka, huh? @JayeWolf

superjamesreid: how can you lie to us?! You're pathetic @JayeWolf

Shit.

I tweeted again.

JayeWolf: Excited to see our new movie with @nadzlustre! She's stunning in this one guys, I swear.

And then the fans go wild again. It's just like this always. I wish they weren't that gullible.

hayMEAT: ok ok we're sorry, nadz and you are perf! <3 @JayeWolf

sighlustre: take that Ericka! James is for Naddie only! My ship is sailing!

Ha, if only you knew.

If only you knew how much I love Ericka and I hate your "Naddie".

My phone buzzes.

It was a reply from Nadine. Speak of the devil.

nadzlustre: @JayeWolf me too! You look so dapper and cute in this film ;)

It's funny how much we act cute on social media but we barely even talk in person. I have to give her credit, though, she is a good actress.

JayeWolf: ha ha very funny :p can't wait to see you tomorrow, beautiful @nadzlustre

That should do it. In that way, I'll fool the fans and get my name clean. Damn, I'm good.

Or so I thought.

PREMIER NIGHT

I'm pissed.

It's the premier night and my suit is nowhere to be found.

"I told you to get it yesterday!" I yell at my assistant.

"I tried," she explains. "But they said they were getting it pressed and all."

I run my hands to my hair. I'm still in my unit, which is like thirty minutes away from the cinema!

"Call them!" I exclaim.

"Ye-yes, James." she says, scurrying away to the living room.

I went to the kitchen and grab a bottle of beer. Jesus, I don't care if it's the premier night. I'm going to drink to ease my nerves.
