"Mommy, Mommy!" "Can we please go to the zoo today?" I whined. "Bobby if you stop whining we might be able to go!"Mom yelled. I quickly shut my mouth. After twenty long minutes that seemed like days, I got on my shoes and skipped out the door. I couldn't wait to see all the animals! I ran through the gates and called to my mom to hurry up. I ran to my favorite animal, the giraffe. I squealed and begged my mom to let me feed them. After thirty minutes of petting and feeding the giraffes mom said it was time to see the rest of the zoo. I sighed and started moping. I dragged my feet along as we walked around the huge zoo. We investigated the reptile house. I was so fascinated by the lizards that I didn't hear my mom calling. She must have left because when I looked up she wasn't there. I quickly left the room. When I was outside I started calling for her. Looking around I saw a bench. A voice said in my head " When you get lost stay in one place and sit on a bench or find a person who works there." I sat down on one of the benches and waited. As I looked around I saw a cage that I'd never seen before. I looked around and made sure that no one was watching. I crept up to the cage and looked inside. There on top of a rock was a dinosaur! I opened up the door of the cage, the dinosaur cocked its head at me. A look of hunger and hunting shone in his eyes. Then it bolted at me! I screamed and started running. Many people stopped and stared at me. I yelled for help but they didn't listen. I ran into a lady and when I looked up it was my mom! Sobbing with joy and fear I told her to yell for help and to run to our car. Surely a zoo keeper would notice and get people to help. We started running as fast as we could. I could hear the dinosaur tromping behind me. A zoo keeper yelled and then called people on his walkie talkie. We flew open the car door and drove away. The dinosaur stopped running and went back to the zoo. "Bobby, Bobby!!" Mom whispered to me. I blinked and opened my eyes. "Bobby are you okay?" "You were crying and yelling for me." I looked around I was still at the zoo on the bench. I quickly asked. "Can we please go?" "Okay Bobby we can." I ran to the car and quickly shut the door. "What's gotten into you Bobby?" I shrugged and thought to myself." I had enough of the zoo today!"
