The breeze was cold, but at least it wasn't snowing as she waited outside of the gates of the campus, the frothy white sun dawning no warmth upon her numb legs as she stood awaiting for Lucas.
"You look a bit dressed up,Missy." Eleanore teased, poking Blair in the stomach as she played with the straps of her book bag. She rolled her eyes and admired the girl before her, never failing to make her smile. Blair toyed with her necklace with a slight grin as Lucas approached Blair, hands in his jacket pockets. Blair bit her plump lips, fixing her I'll fitting blood coloured dress what rose above her knees with black tights hugging her long once-tanned legs.
"Wow... You look great,B." Tyler said stopping in front of her with a gleaming smile. His chestnut brown locks were swiped out of his hazel eyes when he shyly raked his fingers through it. Blair blushed at the compliment and nodded wordlessly, completely forgetting to say thank you.
"Oh. Um. I wanted you to meet my friend,El-Eleanore." Blair stuttered, eager to get away the attention away from her momentarily.
"Oh,right. You said you wanted me to her. So where's this lovely maiden you've told me so much about?" Blair glanced at Eleanore with a confused look, eyebrows ceased.
"Luke...she's right here-" Blair said mentioning next to her, to Eleanore who waved her hand in an annoyed like manner.
"Blair...there's no one there..." He said with a slight chuckle as if it were a sick joke.
"You know,Lucas that's really rude. She's right here!" Lucas back away from Blair's frantic being.
Look Blair,I gotta go..." Blair mouth was left hanging open as he cautiously walked away from her.
"I can't believe him. What a jerk Ele-" Her preppy friend was no longer by her side, replacing with an empty space instead of a cute blond.
"Eleanore?" Blair called out. She shrugged. Maybe she went back to their dorm. Without a second though,Blair rushed to their dorm,to find it empty, the bed made. All the pictures of them that used to be on Blair's wall now vanished. Blair's breathing quickened.
What was going on? Blair retracted her phone from her handbag, looking for the pictures she had taken the previous night. Instead of finding Eleanore beside her, there was nothing. No one. Blair continued to scroll frantically, years swelling up I'm her eyes and she gazed at picture after picture with no one but herself. Valor let out a shriek and threw her phone at the baby blue wall, her cell shattering into a number of pieces. Suddenly, something occurred to her. She could ask the office! Maybe Eleanore left. That had to be it,there was no other answer to this. Throwing open her door and wiping away her tears, she took a stroll down the hall to the office, to find that sweet old lady,to whom she didn't know the name of. Her grey hair curled neatly on her head and her thin lips wrinkled into a smile, her bright white teeth somewhat assures Blair, soothing that endless pit of fear that formed in her stomach. Eyeliner smudged infer Blair's eyes, and fingers, most certainly giving the word "hot mess" a new definition.
"Oh honey... Are you alright?" Violet nodded but spoke quickly, desperate for an explanation.
"Eleanore Theresa Stanton. Did she leave?" The receptionist gave her an odd look, the same look Lucas and a number of other people had given her over the three years she'd been here.
"Eleanore T. Stanton? Sweetie.. There is not Eleanore T. Stanton here. I never assigned you a roommate. Blair Bane, right?" The clicking of keys on a keyboard made Blair fall into a daze. No Eleanore Stanton? Blair grit her teeth and slammed her hands down on the desk, vibrating the computer and cheap plastic plant. The woman's blue eyes widened in shock, her chair moving away from the frightening aggression of the girl.
"Eleanore is my roommate! I'm not crazy,do you hear me?! Eleanore is my best friend! My best friend!" Over her own panicked shouting, she heard the door fly open.
"She is real! You're all lying to me!" She cried, the tears freely flowing down her cheeks. Someone had grabbed her from behind, pining her arms down to her sides as she fought against the person holding her down. Her feet began to kick wildly as she continued to allow the years of panic filtrate through this emotional break down.
"She is real...she is" Blair sobbed now weakly and slid to the floor with someone hushing her from behind, the gently touch of a n arm slung around her neck as her head fell into their lap.
"Get her therapist on the floor." The continuous sobbing filled the room, until she could no longer keep her yes open, her won blurry vision of a sorrowful woman fading into nothing but darkness.A/N
