I stood against a wall in the alley not far from Lisa’s home. It's a Saturday afternoon and I know they're home but Lisa is out with one of her friends. This was my chance to convince Lisa’s parents to keep her in my school and not send her to another.

I’ve been standing here for the past ten minutes and I still hadn’t got the courage to just go up to the house and knock on the door. I am only fifteen and I am worried they tell me to go away, I feared being rejected.

A few teenagers walk pass the alley and look at me oddly before they continued on their way. I finally walked out onto the pavement and walked down it until I came to a good size house in front of me. I had only visited the house a few times but I had a good memory and knew this was it.

I pushed open the gate and headed down the path towards the front door. Half way down it, the front door swung open to reveal Lisa’s mother. “I am not sure you understand!” she shouted.

“Our daughter likes it there at that school and holding a grudge against, James is not the right way about this.....James,” he smiled at me as he spotted me from behind his wife.

Lisa’s mother turned around and her mouth fell open when she saw me. “I'm sorry to come around without asking but I wanted to talk to you about Lisa and her moving school. I'm sorry I never told you about the people trying to beat her up but she asked me not to tell you.  Lisa is one of my only two friends and without her at my school I’m not sure I’ll stay sane,” I said.

I had never felt so rooted to the spot in my entire life. I was not sure what to do with myself just standing there with Lisa’s parents glaring at me but would you?

“I am sorry, James. I don’t think that school is right for Lisa anymore,” sighed the mother. I looked at her and I gave her a half heartily smile which she clearly knew was not real.

“Why not give Lisa one more chance to prove to you that she will do well in that school. Since she has gone there you got to admit her grades have improved a lot,” said the father.

“I know that but I don’t want my little girl getting hurt again,” said the mother sadly.

“I am sorry. I always protected her and if I have too I’ll get detention everyday or at least stay behind after school with Lisa from now on. I’ll watch your daughters back, I promise you that. I just don’t want her to leave.”

“I’ll give it one more chance but if I hear anything I am taking her out of that school,” said the mother.

“Thank you, I swear you will not regret this,” I said to her as I went to go leave.

“Oh and James...make sure if anyone comes near my daughter again,” began the mother.

“I’ll kick their ass, I know,” I laughed as I sprinted out of their garden and down the high street.

I skidded to a halt as I saw a person standing outside my house. It was the last person I expected to see but here he was in body and in soul but what was he doing here at my house. I still felt like he hated me so what did he want.

“Hey, Paul what brings you here?” I asked as I approached my gate where Paul stood.

“Hey....I was wondering if you knew where my sister is at?” he asked.

Paul was looking at me oddly and I felt slightly pinned to the spot but I was not going to allow Paul to think he has some kind of power over me just because he saved my life. I did want to try get along with him but this was not getting off to a good start.
