Time Travel Institute is a serial story set in the Cold Curtain world, but does not necessarily have anything to do with the cold war or iron curtain. While I write a Cold Curtain novel, I stop writing Time Travel Institute, and while editing the novel, I write and edit Time Travel Institute. So, usually, each chunk of stories has an overarching plotline. Here are the synopses for each chunk in order.
One: No scientist takes time travel seriously. It is just too ridiculous, but of course in the 2140s, a homeschooler and publicschooler from Georgia try to invent it, and surprisingly, they succeed, and unsurprisingly, have to convince the rest of the world that time travel is possible.
Two: Most of the rest of the world has been caught up in a generally cold war (with many warm and a handful of hot moments). America involved itself as little as possible, hardly doing anything except saying the political equivalent of, "Yeah, man, that sucks" to whatever country the United Kingdom of France, Normandy, and the Colonies just conquered, but the cold war is coming to the Time Travel Institute.
