Chapter 2: Back Then part 2

Houston Texas

June 2, 1998

Kaitlyn's Pov:

The school year went by so fast it seems like yesterday was August 12, 1997 and Dolph and I just met. We both passed 7th grade so we will be 8th graders next school year. But as time progressed I started liking Dolph more and more each day. For some reason the more time me and Dolph spent Andy started backing off. So me and Andy barely speak now. Dolph met my family and I met his. Are families got really close. So sometimes i spend the night over at his or he spends the night at mines. Oh and I gave him a key to my tree house. Today he is coming over and where just gonna chill in my tree house. I throw on some red blue jeans shorts. I put on an N'sync grey crop top shirt with my birthstone necklace. Then i put on my navy blue vans. Imma just straighten my hair and give it a little bump at the ends. After I'm finished I go to my tree house and wait for Dolph to come in. Wow now that think about it. I should really stop calling it a "tree house". "Hey Kaitlyn." Dolph Greets me. "What are you thinking about?" I think I should stop calling all this a tree house. I need something else to call it because i am maturing. "What about Hybrid?" Dolph asks. Why hybrid? "Because your beautiful and strong." Dolph says with a smirk. I started blushing. Thanks for the compliment. Uuuhhh......You want something to drink? "Yeh I'll take a soda." Dolph inquires. I get up and realize there's only Fanta left. So I give it to him. He opens it without looking at the soda can. "Hmmmmmm............this is good. What is it I've never tasted it before." He says talking another huge gulp. Lazy(I say sarcastically)it's Fanta. " Oh my god!!" he yells. What! Your supposed to be fantastic your drinking Fanta. "No imth allergic tuh Fantath." Aww Dolph your tongue is swollen. "Yehth itth duhh dat." Oooohh it's raining! I jump up and down excitedly. Dolph come and dance out in the rain with me Pleeaaassse. I begged him. "Uhhh sure whyth noth." I Held his hand and dragged him outside. Yayy i screamed while dancing in the rain.

Dolph's Pov:

The rain feels good on my skin as me and Kaitlyn hold hands while dancing. Her hair gets curly as the rain drips off of her hair. Her smile is white and wide just like a dentist lady. I feel my heart melt at the perfect sight in front of me. I spin her around. We both laugh. Then i slow dance with her. Chest to chest and hand in hand there's no where I'd rather be. The rain gets harder so it hard to hear. I'm thinking this is it. No turning back now i have to have her. Looking into her eyes i can tell she feels the same way about me. I pull away. She looks confused. I have something to tell you Kaitie.

I yell over the rain. When i firsth met yuh . I liked yuh aloth. Buth thath day when u said i can see us being friends i didn'th wanth thath. I always wanthed more. So will you be my girlfriend? I ask with a hopeful smile and i shrug my shoulders. "Yes!" She smiles and hugs me tightly. I spin her around. We walk to the tree house but she stops me. I look confusingly at her. She pulls out a butter knife. "Let's carve our initials on the tree house to make it official." She draws a K and a + sign below it. Then I draw a D below the + sign. She takes the knife and draws a heart around all of K+D. I hold my hand out to her. Forever? She takes it and says "Forever."
