Part 3

Laurance's pov
I had been in the woods for long.. I hadn't even noticed the sun had come up. It was bright, and I rubbed my eyes from sleep.
Morning already? I thought to myself. Hey, that wasn't my fault.. Yes it was. You kept me up all night. If it wasn't for you, I'd be sound asleep, in bed. Yeesh. Someone can't take a joke. A joke? Oh, I can take a joke. Only you weren't telling a joke. Okay.. I admit it. I wasn't joking... Geez. Remind me to let you sleep from now on... You get grouchy. Hey!! Well... It's true. Oh, sure. Ya don't believe me? Your shadow? Wow. How cruel. Ugh, just shut up... Nev- Not able to fit it's thought, I heard footsteps.
Crap! I thought. I jumped up from the rock, and spun my head around, looking for whomever was coming.
"Eh?" I said, aloud.
"Laurance?" Aphmau's voice stated.
"A-Aphmau?!" I looked around for her voice.
She stepped out of the shadows. "There you are.." She smiled, then frowned seeing me. "Y-you're tired. Did you even sleep?"
"I..." I tried thinking up an excuse, but nothing came to mind.
"Come on..." She walked over, and grabbed my hand. She then dragged me over to her old, purple house. As she opened the door, she brought me to her bed.
"You need rest. So, sleep." She demanded.
"But-" I began.
"No, but's! You need sleep! Now, please. Rest." She pointed a finger at me.
"Fine..." I grumbled.
She smiled. "Good Night, Laurance."
"Night..."
She walked out the door, and I layed on the bed. My eyes closed together, and I fell asleep.
Aphmau's pov
I sigh, after I walk out.
I really hope he actually sleeps... He looked so tired... I think to myself.
The sun stings at my eyes, and I squint, trying to see into the forest that used to be Phoenix Drop.
"Good Morning, Lady Aphmau."
I turn my head to see, Garroth. He smiles.
"Morning..." I say, a smile growing on my face.
"I-I see you're..." He clears his throat. "Ahem.. Doing better..?"
"..yeah..." I respond.
"Uhm... I hope you don't mind, but I was wondering... Maybe, we can.. U-uh..." He looks as if he's sweating. "Thought I'd get over this shy thing, by now..." He mutters, looking down.
"We can..." I try finishing.
"Oh!" He looks up, quickly. "Right. Uhm... If we could... Spend t-time... To... Gether..."
"Oh..." I tilt my head a bit. "Of course."
He smiles. "Great."
I return the smile. "Well, when would you like to meet up?"
"I-is tonight at 6 pm, alright?" He asks, stars basically in his eyes.
"Sounds perfect." I smile, big. "See you then."
"S-see you..." He walks off, down the steps.
Garroth's pov
SHE SAID YES!! I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE ACTUALLY SAID YES!! I think, as I run over to Dante. Mostly because... He's my only friend at the moment..
I knock on his door. Well... Pound, basically.
Kawaii~Chan opens the door, with Nekoette hugs her leg. "Good Morning, Garroth~Kun!" She says, a smile on her face, as I remember her. "Anything Kawaii~Chan can help you with?" She tilts her head, slightly.
"Oh.." I begin. "I'm looking for Dante."
"Oh! Dante~Kun, went out on his guarding post. He told Kawaii~Chan he'd be back by dark..." She finished.
"I see... Well, I'll go find him.. Uhm... Do you know where his post is?" I ask.
"Dante~Kun's post is located by the old gates... At least, that's where Dante~Kun told Kawaii~Chan he'd be." She stated.
"Got it.. Thanks, Kawaii~Chan." I said, and ran off to where Kawaii~Chan had said Dante was.
There he was, guarding the gates. I ran up, next to him.
"Dante!" I said, once I came nearer.
"Oh, hey Garroth!" He said, smiling at me. "Do ya need somethin'?"
"Well... I have good news.." I say, not able to stop the grin that forms on my face.
Laurance's pov
I wake up, and look around. Aphmau's not here... Weird. I roll out of the bed she had made me lay down in. Then, I walked over to the door. Opening them, I walked out.
I should find Aphmau... I thought. Are you... For sure? Yes, I'm for sure. Why wouldn't I be?! Well... I don't know... She could be kissing Garroth by now. S-she wouldn't do that... You stuttered! In your own mind! Ha! Shut up! I'm going to find Aphmau and that's final!! Fine..
Not listening to my shadow, I go on the hunt for Aphmau.
She couldn't have strayed to far... I wasn't sleeping that long. Was I?
I start a jog, and head down a path in old Phoenix Drop. That's when I see Dante and Garroth. I hide behind a tree, and listening to their conversation.
"I have good news..." I hear Garroth say. And from over here, it looks like he smiles.
"What is it?" Dante replies.
Eavesdropping, are we? Ugh.. Shut up. I'm just.... Doing something... Which is called eavesdropping, ya retard. Hey!! You're in MY body! That makes you a retard too! You realize you just called yourself a-.. Ya know what? Nevermind! Good, now shut up so I can listen.
I listen in more.
"Okay... Well, I asked Aphmau if s-she wanted to hangout... And she said yes..." Garroth says.
Hangout..? That isn't like a date.. Right? I'm pretty sure it's a date, dude. No... There is a perfectly good explanation... Let's just listen more...
"Oh? Wait... Hangout?" Dante says, that tone in his voice as usual.
"..I didn't use the term 'hangout' exactly..." Garroth says, looking down slightly.
"Then... What'd you say?" Dante tilts his head.
"Spend time.. T-together." Garroth stutters back.
"I see... So, it's like a date..?" Dante asks.
"I-I guess.. I said around 6 pm... So... I-I don't know..."
Grrr... It really MUST be a date! I mean... Why else.. A time just to hangout? Welllll... You can let me take control... Then, you won't have to handle one little thing! No... You'll end up killing everyone.. Hey! No I won't! I won't test it... Now, just leave me alone... Your just.. Giving up?! After wanting Aphmau's heart for SO long?! Well.. What choice do I have? I'm pretty sure she's in love with my best friend... My brother... If he was either of those things... He would let you have her. (Hint: shadow's try and get their host into situations where they are in a bit of danger. Which is why Laurance's shadow tells him that Garroth isn't a loyal friend.) ...y-your right... I know. I'll follow Garroth... Then I'll... Oo. I know. What? You'll see.
