I lifted my head from my pillow and groaned. The sound of a electric guitar was loud enough to make me deaf. I turned over towards the wall of my room and attempted to fall asleep to the sound. But whoever was playing clearly had no clue what they were doing, for what they were playing didn't sound like any kind of song, it sounded more like someone had threw all the notes being played into a blender. I turned back onto my stomach and pulled my thin pillow of my head. At this moment, I wished I had chosen a nice fluffy pillow to bring when we had first moved to August Beach, instead of this sad thin one.

"Why are you doing this to me?" I groaned, but the person playing couldn't hear me, my voice muffled by the sheets and the blaring noise of the guitar.

I closed my eyes fighting the urge to scream bloody murder at the tops of my lungs. I forced a yawn out of me hoping that it would tell my mind "I want to sleep even though it might seem quite near impossible!"

"Can I play you a song?"

I smiled at Issac, the idea of him playing me a song making me have butterflies.

"Uh, yeah. Sure!" I managed to say, without loosing my cover of the cool and collected friend who is definitely not in love without you that he knows me to be.

Issac pulled his guitar from behind his back, bending his head down so I couldn't see him face. I wondered why he was doing this. He has better people to play songs to let alone be with. He started to play, and for the life of me I couldn't actually listen to what he was playing.

Instead I was watching him, his head bobbing slowly to the sound of the guitar. His right foot was tapping along as well. I bended down so I was laying folded over in half on my knees and saw up at Issac's face. He was smiling a nice bright smile, his eyes glued to the guitar. I started to giggle at his pink cheeks, almost bringing up my arm so I could point and laugh like I would have any other time, but I chose not to ruin the moment.

After a while of him playing, Issac asked me "Do you know what song this is?"

I shook my head and said "Not at all."

"Of course you wouldn't!" Issac almost sounded angry, but he kept playing and laughed. "I wrote this song."

"You did?!" I exclaimed, not knowing that Issac would have ever play me a song that he wrote himself. I didn't even know he had it in him to write a song in the first place.

"Yes. I thought that maybe you could give it a title, since it was written for you."

~..........~

"Issac?" I said, lifting the pillow off of my head. I opened my eyes to see it still dark outside. Did my mother actually let him in? It must be 2 in the morning! She'd have a fit if she saw at the door let alone carrying a electric guitar, asking for me.

"You called?"

He stopped playing as I sat up quickly. I turned around to see him sitting on my computer chair with his hands on his guitar, smiling a goofy grin. That's a grin he only puts on when he has done something wrong.

Issac has been a friend ever since Valerie introduced him to me. He's not exactly the greatest friend in the world, and maybe that's because we almost never talk or spend time together. He's not ever done this kind of thing before, except for the one time he pulled me away from the crowd to give me a private concert a year or so ago. Has it really been that long?

"Why are you here?"

"I wanted to come wake you up. Today is the 15th after all."

"I have no idea what the 15th stands for."
