I grew up knowing about you
Heard and read about you
I sympathized with you
I cried a tear for you
I learned to learn for you
My eyes adored you
My heart unquestionably loved you
They said they did and I do
I swear I would give everything to you
But I always wonder if you know me
Who I am and what I came to be
I'm your son and a son for you I will always be
The day your sun rises is the day the moon will set on your sea
O beauty, what have you done to me?
Churches rang their bells
Mosques called for prayers...
To a God we will always seek
By my words I hope volumes will speak
For your agony I suffer down beneath
I bled painlessly in my safe keep
I dream relentlessly for your peace
O Palestine, if you only knew what you mean to me...
