Abel's P.O.V
I pull up to the front of the restaurant and get out of the car leaving it on and run to the other side and open the door for Delani.
The guy who does the valet parking walks to the drivers side and gets in, "You two have a nice evening."
I shut Delani's door, "Thank you." She says as she realized I haven't said thank you yet.
"Oh yeah thanks man." I nod.
I intertwine me and Delani's fingers together and we walk into the restaurant.
"Hello, welcome to Ocean Breeze. How can I help you?" A girl who looks no older than Delani says.
"Reservation for Abel Tesfaye."
"Table for two?" She asks.
"Yeah."
"Okay follow me please, you said you wanted to be outside right?"
I look at Delani, "You wanna be outside or inside?"
"Outside," she smiles.
The girl nods and starts walking. As we follow her I notice Delani looking around the restaurant in awe.
That must be a good sign, right?
Hopefully I don't go and fuck up this date.
"Here's your table, and your waiter will be right with you."
"Thank you," Delani smiles.
I let go of her hand and pull her chair out for her.
"Thank you," she says as I push in her chair.
I sit across from her, "You've been saying thank you a lot today."
She shrugs, "You don't say it enough."
"I say it when it's necessary."
"There were plenty of situations where it was needed." She says and looks through the menu.
"Well--"
"Geez Abel everything here is like really expensive." She says cutting me off.
I shrug, "So."
"So," she drags out. "First the dress and heels now this. You're gonna be in debt soon mr."
I roll my eyes, "I told you it's not gonna make a dent in my bank account."
"Okay, that's what everyone says. And then they go broke. I mean look at Kanye."
"Okay that's different. Kanye is different. He wasted all his money on his fashion shows and made his shoes ridiculously expensive."
"Well you bought those shoes."
"Cmon they're fly as fuck."
"Yeah they are nice," she agrees.
I raise an eyebrow, "Do you want a pair?"
"No,"
"Why not, we could be matching."
"They're like almost a thousand dollars. That's way too much for some shoes."
"Hm, okay." I'm gonna get her a pair. Whether she wants me to or not.
"I know that look, don't get them for me."
