Chapter 1
"Pretty girl are you crying?" I looked up surprised to hear his voice.
"How...What..."
"Tour just ended and I had them send me here instead of home. I hope you don't mind." I walked over to him and he dropped his bags.
"I don't mind at all Mr. Sloan, not one bit," with that I stood on tip toed and brushed my lips across his. His arms snaked around my waist and he crushed our bodies together. "I missed you Dane."
"I'm glad. I wasn't sure how you would react. I mean you never really decided..."
"I decided, I just didn't tell you who I chose," I said with a smile. "Come on I'm the guest of honor and they will probably be missing me soon."
"I can't go in there like this," he motioned to his clothes. He was wearing a pair of black jeans with a cut off gray T-shirt leaving a clear view all his tattoos. I smiled.
"You look perfect, besides I really want you to meet my real father," I wrapped his arm around my waist and started walking toward the house. As soon as we entered the house all eyes were on us. I guess he was a little underdressed, but I didn't even flinch. I walked right up to my father. "Daddy, look who I found," I motioned to Dane who removed his fedora and stuck out his hand. My father shook it, but the look on his face clearly said he wasn't happy to see him.
"Mr. Stanton I'm sorry to crash your party. I just finished tour and thought I'd come and see Evie," Dane explained.
"It's okay, uh..."
"Dane, daddy," I filled in.
"It's okay Dane, any friend of Eve's is welcome here," He motioned for one of the waiters to come over. "Please take Dane's bag and put it in..."
"My room," I said before my father said something else.
"Put it in a guest room," My father told the man. I wanted to say that I wasn't a teenager. That I was a grown woman and that if I wanted Dane to stay in my room that was where he would stay, but Dane gave me a "leave it alone look" so I did. "Eve I do believe that Sean was looking for you," I saw a jealous look cross Dane's face. "Ah there he is," Sean came strolling up with two glasses of champagne. He handed one to me.
"I looked all over for you and I couldn't find you. Where did you disappear to," he wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me to his side. I raised an eyebrow and restrained myself from rolling my eyes.
"I went outside for some air..."
"You shouldn't go out this late by yourself," he said interrupting me. "There's no telling what kind of trash may wonder through the neighborhood," he took a look at Dane and I knew that was meant to insult him. I saw Dane ball up his fist.
"Yeah I know what you mean, but I got a call saying that my boyfriend was out there and I just had to go get him," I pulled from his grasp and walked up over to where Dane stood. I wrapped his arms around my waist.
"So now I'm your boyfriend," he said raising an eyebrow and ignoring my father and Sean.
"Only if you want to be," he lifted me to his level.
"More than you know," then he kissed me and put my feet back on the ground. He swept my hair behind my ear. Seconds later we heard a screech from Sienna as she came running over she threw her arms around Dane.
"What the..." she stopped herself and looked over at our father staring at her with disapproving eyes. She cleared her throat and straightened her dress. "What brings you here Dane?" she asked in a cordial voice. I couldn't help but to giggle.
