One universe. Nine planets. 204 countries. 809 islands. Seven seas. And i had the privilege of meeting you.  (Borrowed from Harley-Quinn-Doll thanks :))

C stood from her desk, walked quietly over to him and said, "Jay. You're absolutely my best friend. Right?" Jay nods. "Okay. So, I - I like you, a lot, and I was wondering about what you think of that."

"Well, I think it's perfect. C, I like you too."

C hugs him and smiles brightly.

"Thank you so much for saying that."

He hugs her back. "You're welcome C."

They exchanged phone numbers and within two weeks the fourteen year olds were dating. They were adorable and their friends called them Jacie because thats what Jay and Cie made. Jacie.

Cie snaps out of her dazed crying. She was in social studies class. Jay sat two seats up and one to the left.

She remembers her reality. Jay rejected her and she just stopped. Her brain stopped. Her love stopped. Her heart stopped. Her warmth and kindness stopped too. Everything about her just froze in place.

The bell rang. Cie collected her homework, put it in her binder and walked to science. She sat in her seat in the back and buried her face in her elbows.

In her world, there were no words now. Sure, she read and wrote them, but never really spoke anymore. She didn't want to release her thoughts and then get rejected again.

Soon science was over too. Cie went to Spanish class next. She sat in a desk in the back of the classroom, just as before. She rested her chin on her elbows and kept her eyes open. She stared at the teacher's board like she was reading it, but she was just looking all the stars in space.

She did see that there was homework, so she picked up the paper on a table near the door.

Its like i've died inside
It's like I'm gone to you
Yet still i live
But not to you

Jay's day was just as miserable as Cie's.

She looked so sad, but she ignored everyone like they weren't there.

He felt bad for her. He'd done this. He was the last person to hear her voice. It'd been a month since he'd heard it. He wanted to demand another word. He couldn't though. She wouldn't ever be talking to him again.

No matter what he did.

No matter, no matter,
Said the mad hatter.
The best people are
the maddest of them all.
