Then I was afraid, now I’m in charge.
Then I was stupid, now I’m top of class.
Then I ran, now I fight.
Then I was closed, now I’m loud.
Then I cried, now I laugh.
Then I was blue, now I’m yellow.
Then I was winter, now I’m summer.
Then I was tired, now I’m hyper.
Then I stood on the sidelines, now I’m on the field.
Then I was embarrassed, now I embrace it.
Then I liked him, now I don’t.
Then I admired, now I’m admired.
Then I pretended, now I’m me.
Then I cared, now I’m indifferent.
Then I was in love, now I’m in hate.
Then I was in class, now I’m at work.
Then I was trapped, now I’m free.
Then I was grounded, now I’m flying.
Then I was tied down, now I’m let loose.
Then I had friends, now I have family.
Then I was a child, now I’m a young adult.
Then I was a failure, now I’m a success.
Then I was there, now I’m here.
Then I was tanned, now I’m pale.
Then I was heaven, now I’m hell.
Then you were mine, now I’m his.
Then I missed you, now I’m like ‘who?’
Then it was all a dream, now it’s reality.
Then it was my license, now it’s twenty-one.
Then it was a car, now it is a truck.
Then it was a girl, now it is a boy.
Then it was one, now it is two.
Then it was school, now it is family.
Then it cared, now it is whatever.
Then is the past, now is my present.
