Before you read this story: This is the diary of Severus Snape, Professor and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Dear Diary

Today I baby-sat Draco Malfoy

He spat his dummy at me and cried consistently

I decided that children were over-rated

I left the house

Whilst on my way home my broomstick collided with none other than Lucius and his blonde tag along

He was out raged

He pushed me off my broom

I suddenly knew how the Potter boy had felt when he fell in his third after the dementors came

I fell and I fell and I fell

Lower and lower

Then I felt it

I was expecting to feel the concrete and the shatter of my spine

But instead it hit me right there

I found myself on Rita Skeeter’s broom

She asked me for an interview for the God damn Daily Prophet

I refused

Her driver kept circling my shattered broom on the cement

She’s very persistent

I finally agreed

She asked me many questions

The next morning I saw it

Front Page, Professor Snape, Potions Master, how low will he go for Lucius Malfoy?

I thought of my second cousin, I cried

At breakfast in the Great Hall, Minerva chuckled at me                                                    Argus and Mrs. Norris starred at me like a student out of bed

I got an owl from Gilderoy Lockhart

He told me that if I wanted attention all I had to do was ask

I thought of Lily Evans

I blew my nose

On my way down to the dungeons the Potter boy and his orange friend gave me the glance of disgust

I went into my office and had a stiff brandy

As I drank I daydreamed about being Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher

Suddenly I pictured werewolves and remembered I had a class outside to teach

That Granger girl carried on her usual snobby act and I dismissed her

She complained to Dumbledoor

Albus summoned me to his office afterwards

He told me to leave Miss Granger alone

I left his office, I cried

So you see my dear diary, the whole world is against me

Sometimes I feel that you are the only one who truly understands me

Then I casually remember, you are the only one who understands me

Until tomorrow, my friend
