January 6th

Dear Diary,

Today I received an owl informing all the professors of the appointment of Dolores Umbridge as Defence against the Dark Arts Professor. I gritted my teeth, that was the job I wanted... As I walked down to breakfast, like I do every day. I saw her, Dolores, walking down the hall in a foul pink dress and holding a pink fluffy handbag. She politely but snootily nodded at me. I followed her to the staff table. Albus introduced her to the students, they all grimaced. Then Umbridge made a speech. I listened but gradually drifted off to sleep. I awoke forty five minutes later with Albus massaging my thigh. I jumped in shock. The Great hall was free of students. I asked Albus what on earth he was doing. He looked hurt by my blunt comment and walked away. I went to my Potions class. I screamed, you know, as you do. Everyone looked at me. The class wailed, I screamed some more. I dismissed the and read my book. The class scurried out. I'm depressed, even more than normal.

I'm going to go cry.
