Jessie - Luke Ross fanfic

Part Thirteen

a/n: haven't been on for a while...Oops. Blame YouTube and its entire existence. Actually, without YouTube, I wouldn't exist, hah XD.

I walk in casually into Mr. Vega's office, followed by to see a group of girls on the left side and a group of guys on the right side of the walls look at me as I walk in. I look over to the right and see Luke who gives me a smirk, give him a small smile in return and then walk over to the other girls. Apparently I'm just in time for this so-called meeting Mr. Vega wanted us for.

I squeeze in between a couple of girls and stand slightly behind them so I'm not quite spotted. Over on the opposite side of me, I accidentally and completely unintentionally catch Chase's eye and he raises his eyebrow and smirks slightly. I blush and look down, pretending to be interested at the floor like it was the most fascinating thing to have ever been made.

"Now that I've finally got everyone here listen up," Mr. Vega's voice booms, taking me aback by his sudden loud voice and making my head snap up. Yes, I understand that his office is pretty big but it's not like we are in the middle of a football ground. Geez, dude calm yourself, I felt my ear go pop(!)

"You might have had your fun in the match girls, but this is where things get serious. The boys have already had the experience of going to different matches but this time, this is where you girls..." He point his big fat sausage finger at every one of us pressed up against the wall for some kind of comfort with big bulbous eyes, "...are going to pay every little bit of detail I'm going to say."
None of us say a word.
"I wanna see you girls working your butts off this week. Every day after school for the next week, you're coming straight to the gym, as well as the guys, digging a lot more deeper than you were before. Girls on one side of the gym run by Miss Yates, boys on the other run by me, simple. Got that?"
The last two words seemed to have echoed 'cause I swear they kept ringing in my ears as he yelled it. We all nod our heads.
"Now...get your asses out of my office. Beat it."
With that, the girls all make a quick dash, faster than the boys' responses, straight for the door and swing it wide open whilst running out, the boys not far behind.

I slow down once I reach the gates and step outside of the building making my way towards the gates. I desperately wanted to walk home with Luke but he seemed to have disappeared since the departing of Mr. Vega's office so I just decided on not waiting and to walk home by myself. I heard footsteps behind me but I carried on walking as normal, past the water fountain. Suddenly, a hand touches my shoulder and I look up slightly to the left and see Chase; now that is what you call unexpecting. "See you tomorrow after school Jaz," he says in a kind of deep voice that made me speechless and slow down my pace, and he carried on walking, his tallness taking big strides as he walked. Yeah it feels weird. And I don't like him and he doesn't like me...I hope.
