My mother worked two jobs, one during the day and one through the night, whilst also running a family. By day, she worked in the local supermarket as a manager, nothing less than ordinary. But by night, she was the moon. 

“You shine as bright as the moon, Selena.” My mother once told me, but it wasn’t just a typical mother‘s compliment. “And one day, you will be the moon, my sweet.”

It wasn’t a lie. For one day, her job would become mine.
