AN-  IM SORRY if ur like "god this is boring" but pls just be patient<3 thank uuuuuux

I arrive home that night and go through the same routine as I do every night. I greet my flat mate and we agree to meet each other outside in about 15 minutes. As I head to my bedroom I can hear her grab  the glasses and I rush looking forward to relaxing and forgetting everything.

I dump all my work clothes on to my bedroom floor and put a pair of shorts and a vest top on, I'm about to leave my room when I remember how cold it will be outside so I put my over sized cardigan on and grab my little tub heading for the balcony.

Our flat was on the very top floor so we were able to climb out of our window and on to the roof. We do it every night now and it's easily my favourite thing about my life. I live with my best friend from high school Clair, and theres nothing more comforting than coming home to her every night.

I climb through the window and her face lights up as she sees me. She takes both glasses and pours the red wine as she has done a million times. I open my little tub, roll up the joints and pass her one.

"How was your day babe?" She says as she lights her joint, her shoulders instantly relax in to the chair and she closes her eyes still looking flawless as ever in her pyjamas. I envy Clair more than anyone I have ever met, she is beautiful. Her skin is a beautiful tanned colour and her hair is short, curly and blonde, her natural brown roots show through but she pulls it off. What I envy the most is how confident she is, she has the tallest legs and the curviest body that she shows off whenever she gets the chance, I don't blame her though.

"Aww man, I think I hate my job a little bit more everyday and my sister is still treating me like one of her children," I sigh and Clair laughs in response. I take a drag of my joint and sink in to my chair, I wish life felt this care free every day.

"So the same as everyday for the past 2 years?" She asks rhetorically. I nod as she hands me a glass of red wine and we clink them together, drinking about half of it already.

"How was your day?"

"It was pretty good I have to say. I finished work early, bought us more red wine and tidied the flat for you coming home," she looks pretty proud of herself.

"What an angel you are," I chuckle.

"I know," she sighs over dramatically.

We sit in a comfortable silence for a while, which i'm happy about. As I said the best kind of people are the people you can hang out with and not really have to make an effort, you could both be sitting in silence and it's just so comfortable.

"Oh! Oh my god I meant to tell you," I don't mean to frighten her but she jumps and spills a little bit of her wine over her. I try not to laugh but it's too funny.

"Dont do that to me Natalia! This better be something interesting." she tries to pat her wine off of her, little does she knows she's making it worse.

"Remember Matthew Healy and his friends from school?"

"That guy you had a crush on?" I've instantly caught her attention.

"Listen I did not have a crush on him ok!" I defend myself. She throws her head back and covers her face with her hands.

"You have never admitted it oh my god," She shouts dramatically. I giggle and she joins in with me, both of us a little high now.

"Anywaaaaaaaaay! Him, George, Adam and Ross have a band, they aren't the most popular but Hannah is obsessed with him and I'm being made to take her to one of their gigs," I wait for her reaction she scrunches her nose up and sits up instantly.

"That is honestly the weirdest thing I have heard in a while Nat," She shakes her head and pours us more wine. "What are they called?"

"The 1975," I say as I take the glass off of her and drink some more.

"Aw this is crazy." She shakes her head. "Do you think they will remember you? You and Matthew were pretty close," She wiggles her eyebrows.

"Honestly no, Hannah said she wants to meet them outside but I will just stand at the back and wait I'm not interested in a school reunion. Hannah also mentioned that he likes to be called Matty now," I finish my joint and debate on rolling another one. I decide against it because I will regret it in the morning when I'm too tired to go to work.

"Awww come on go and say hello! I guarantee they will remember you and you never know, maybe they could come back here for a party afterwards." She smirks at me, I roll my eyes in return.

"They probably have better things to do," I down the rest of my drink and close my tub, getting ready to go to bed.

"You should go and say hi anyway Nat, what have you got to loose? It would be nice to see them again, maybe i'll get a ticket and tag along with you both," she downs her drink and picks up the bottle of wine, sensing that I was about to go inside.

"I would love it if you done that, I wouldn't need to face the concert alone on the anniversary of their death," I swallow the lump in my throat as we walk inside. Clair's face instantly drops.

"It's that day? Babe why are you doing this you usually just sleep all day?" she hugs me when we get inside and I cry a little in her arms.

"I have no choice, Hannah will be gutted if she doesn't get to go." I cling on to her as she rubs my back.

"Natalia maybe this will be good for you, it will take your mind off of it." She tries to make me feel better.

"Yeah, I hope so."

"I will make sure it's a good night, I will buy a ticket and we will get in to their music so that we can sing and dance along just as much as hannah will," I laugh and cry at the same time, both of us wiping away my tears.

"I love  you Clair," I hug her tightly.

"I love you too babe."
