I turned around vigorously, to stare at the empty backseat like a fool.
"Joseph what the he-" I was cut off by, "Daddy Look!" Joseph's scream. Turning my head back again i saw a girl standing in the middle of the road. I didn't have time to look, blindly, I took a sharp left turn and the car was forced out of the road. Thankfully, there were no buildings or trees so my car screeched to a stop at an empty plot. Resting my head on the steering wheel I couldn't stop tears from falling.
"I can't take this anymore!" I cried.
"Listen, you have to act sensibly. Breaking down will only-" Kimberly, Katherine's sister rested her hand on my hand.
I cut her off, "Look, I've been strong but either my son is mad or there is something paranormal in here!"
"Oh come on! Bryant you? Outta all the people, you are telling me that ghosts exist?" She replied, clearly exasperated. "You just need to get over the past! Katherine died due to heart failure! There is nothing like Ashley's ghost. And you need to stop blaming yourself for everything. Joseph needs you. He needs extra care, he needs a mother and you Bryant have to be strong enough to play father and mother for him!"
"I need a break kim!" I declared.
"okay, I have an idea." She said snapping her fingers.
I raised my eyebrow questioningly at her. "I will stay here with Joseph for 2 weeks, until my vacations-"
"No! How can you? I know what your vacations mean to you. You were gonna spend them with your boyfriend!" I retorted, cutting her off.
She laughed and waved my replication away.
"I love Katherine's son, besides he's my.." she trailed off.
I nodded, understandingly. But awkwardness had filled the air so I quickly got back to the main topic, "Are you sure?"
"Huh? Oh.. Yeah Byrant I'm sure and you can go on a vacation." she smiled sympathetically.
"I dunno, I don't have a really good feeling for it." I mumbled glumly.
"oh don't worry It all will fall into place! You need a break. And I want to spend some time with Joseph." she look at me for acceptance and I nodded shortly. "ok then all is final, i'll go get my stuff. And you pack your bags. I'm staying with jozy for 2 weeks and you're off on vacation!" she stated, standing up. I smiled at the nick name she just gave to joseph.
Standing up I pulled her into a hug.
"Thank you." I mumbled, breathing into her hair. She smelled just like Katherine.
"Okay enough!" She pushed me away with an embarassed laugh.
"uh, sorry.." i trailed off running a hand through my hair.
"You!" She cooed pinching my nose. "Are really cute!"

"Jozy!" I called, seating my coffee on the table and resting hands on my hips. "Now, I have nothing to do so i might as well read Bryant's novels!" i mumbled to myself.
"Yessh..?" said Joseph, entering the living room.
Walking upto him I picked him up showered him with kisses.
"Kimmy plea-"
"Kimmy?" I laughed. "Call me khala!"

"Anyway, you don't miss your daddy already, do you?" I sat down on Bryant's arm chair resting Jozy on my lap.
"When will he come back?"
