Peeling back the layers I'd stacked
It sure does make me smile.
If only I'd have known that God was waiting all the while.
For years- I chose to wander,
accepting whatever I'd find
'though every other turn was a dead end
I was ignoring all the signs.
God was waiting patiently...
( I thought He'd given up on me
...waiting on me -to set myself free
His arms open wide- no matter where I'd hide
I was hurting those who Loved me, & it's really no big
surprise.
In spite of the fact that I thought I knew better
I was actually moving backwards most of the time
avoiding all that was placed before me, how can one be so blind?!
I thank you God -for Your
patience in me
Your truths were all I could find.
