Besides the Lord
i fear only myself,
the things that i might do
-when i'm distracted,
my self enacted
and i'm not thinking
of You- Lord.
I know that i can't trust me,
it's just outside the door.
-Most everything i might see
is evil and abhor'd
To the left or the right
-especially in night
the bad things all are free
and although You quell
the darkness
I know the rest is up to me.
To stay the straight
and narrow
is the one thing not to
ignore.
