Spring

8 1 1

Hook your knees around a tree limb,

Let your head fall back,

Hang your arms loosely,

And watch the trees stretching

Their branches down

To the lavender gold rimmed clouds.

Trace their budding silhouettes

With your eyes,

Follow the growing paths they mark

Through the galaxies of flowers,

In this universe of green.

This is life.

This is birth.

This is spring.
